3.3
TBone (17442) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 10, 2008
Bottled (BB 10/2008)
Slightly hazy orange color, good off-white head. Mildly fruity and yeasty nose with woody hops. Medium bodied (on fuller side). Quite yeasty flavor. Dry and fruity - spicey and hoppy finish. Spiceyness and light alcohol in the aftertaste. Well-made standard Belgian blonde, but not very complex or interesting.

3.5
Dedollewaitor (16056) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 25, 2008
33cl bottle at D.H. Pours unclear copper with a lsting white foam and lacings. Nose is hoppy and spicy. Coriander and clove. Crisp and hoppy for a Belgium. Good.

3.6
FatPhil (15966) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 8, 2007
330ml bottle (Poirotti, Helsinki) Side by side with the ordinary Affligem blond. Rich orange, lively tight head. Light hoppy aroma. Body is succulent and very strongly but pleasantly hoppy. Clearly hoppy, but in a subtle and inviting way. A touch floral, very pleasant. Even better than the ordinary blond, except for the aroma, which is less complex.

1.9
Benzai (15460) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - DEC 14, 2013
Sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Clear golden color, full sized soapy white head. Aroma is horrible: cardboard, musty, horse blanket. Yuk. Taste carboard and musty as well. Don’t like it at all. Sucks.

3.8
bierkoning (13297) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - OCT 10, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2005 Tap, Café De Engel Oldenzaal. Served too cold, so it’s hard to detect any aroma. But the flavor is hoppy and creamy, with just a bit of malty sweetness and pepper. Simple, but nice and well balanced. Hoppy aftertaste with a hint of peach. Bottle: Hoppy, oily, just a bit flowery aroma and flavor. Citric, hoppy, oily aftertaste. Absolutely lovely beer!

3.2
BeerandBlues2 (13213) - Escondido, California, USA - JAN 21, 2015
Bottle at La Chaloupe d’Or. Pours lightly hazy gold with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is biscuit malt, earthy hops and yeast notes with light esters. Flavor is lightly tart yeast, moderate crisp malt, light hops and bitterness, light esters and a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation.

3.2
bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - MAY 2, 2007
(Bottle, BB 16/10/08) Pours a clear golden body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of mustiness, florals, grass, buttery, and dustiness. Flavor of spicy yeast, pear, malt, and hops with a dry finish.

3.2
kermis (12869) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 1, 2014
Bottle shared. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of banana, yeast, caramel and spice. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

3.8
Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAR 5, 2003
cloudy orange colour, giant head with a beautiful lace, yeasty with honeyish notes, lot of carbonation, robust bitterness, long bitter orange finish - some analogies with Orval but there is something undefinable missing

3.4
thewolf (12535) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUN 21, 2008
Bottle, bought @ Belgisk Bryg, Cph.
Pours a hazy, pale, amber with a big, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is nicely yeasty, good spicines and wheaty malts. Fine, balanced mouthfeel - just the rigth amount of carbonation. Flavour is lightly metallic, good yeast, quite sweet and very thick malty. Finish is nice and hoppy.
