The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

Весьма классический Абадский Эль. Чувствуются цитрусовые нотки. Обилие алкоголя мешает почувствовать вкус.

Golden, with a touch of amber. Clear. Aroma sweet, fruity with some peach and honey in it. The typical yeastines of a tripel. Taste follows accordingly with bitterness dominating at the end. A prototypical excellent tripel.

From a bottle at Jimmy’s Garden in Edam with OR AWV. Good aroma, nice golden color. Taste very good.

Bottle from Oddbins Rosemount. Pours clear amber gold with a fluffy off-white head. Aromas initially come through high with syrup and grain which I don’t find particular appealing as they’re almost too sweet. There’s a vague orangeyness there cleaning things up before an alcohol and tingly pepperiness finish it. The taste is big with barley sugars. So that sweetness prevails again initially. As with the nose there’s a light citrus element. A boozy alcohol vapour is prowling about finished with a light spicy earth. The beer feels soft and full bodied with the fluffy glossy head gliding down reminding me of a creamy English ale. The dry moderate sparkle is almost overcome by it. This to me feels like an amped up ale that lacks the crisp refreshment many Tripels observe. It is a fine smooth Belgian ale nonetheless.

Bottle. Golden with medium head. Bready, malty, thick texture, some sweetness, quite strong alcohol bite.

Bottle in some random bar. Clear darker golden with white head. No yeast depot which seems strange for a triple... Lots of sweet malts, honey, apricot, light cloves and esthery yeast. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Cleaned up triple, goes down well but nothing interesting at all.

fruitig, zacht, met veel schuim, en met ietwat alcohol in de complexe smaak. Gewoon goed
