The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

Evilman (236) - Taverny, FRANCE - APR 15, 2017
This is certainly the best ’widely available’ beer I can think of. Not to be overlooked compared to abbey or local breweries products, I’ve been pretty surprised. Quite strong taste, hints of caramel and spices, and, unlike many others, a real aftertaste. Not the easiest one to drink, but clearly good for any occasion. Great overall. APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW!

From old tasting notes. Cloudy orange copper color. Big creamy beige head tops lots of tiny bubbles. Aroma hints at dried fruit. Subtle semi-sweet complex malt flavor, hints at maple, licorice and burnt caramel. Deep rich flavor that finishes dry and crisp. Full bodied, tasty and unique. Very good.

On tap for the afterwork. Belle robe cuivrée pour une bière bien équilibrée.

SG111 (1795) - New York, USA - FEB 27, 2017
Bottled at Clubhouse BFD event. Pours clear golden. White head. Aroma is lemon, Belgian spice, clove, wheat. Flavor is lemon, pine, orange, wheat, Belgian notes. Fine.

Luneylane (179) - Taipei City, TAIWAN - FEB 22, 2017
A bottle from the Cafe Bastille near Taipower Building. Aroma: very fresh bread, candied orange peel. Appearance: hazy amber, 1-2mm. lacing. Palate: full-bodied and creamy, average carbonation. A long, complex finish with a well-hidden booze hit. Taste: Sweet vs. bitter extremely well balanced, some pepper from the booze, but it’s always subtle. Great beer.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2017 Its smell fresh and got a gold color body with a nice foam collar when you pour it out of the bottle. The taste is just like you expect from a descent triple. I can really taste the honey in it. And got a bitter after taste but there is something in the aftertaste that keeps me from rating it higher on taste. Overall a decent triple which actually can never be wrong.

Gaelic (179) - Rotterdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 20, 2017
Amber coloured triple. Big white head. Very good balanced. Nice tones of orange, honey, a bit of candy. Nice bitters which softly disappears in the mouth. Good beer!

300ml bottle, 9% alcohol. Aroma is citrus and hoppy. Head is beige that dissipates quickly. Carbonation is medium. Medium-heavy body, very pleasant. The alcohol is 99% hidden. Flavor is really complex, a bit spicy and bitter. Really good beer.
