3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured out of the big bottle into a Westmalle glass. A dull golden color with a half finger of white head.
Mild smelling; honey and sweets.
It tastes heady, you can feel the alcohol lurking in the background. Bread, light malt and mild hop bitterness at the end.
Light to medium bodied with lots of carbonation, which is not bad... leaves tingles on the tongue.
What I find unique and enjoyable about most Belgium beers is their texture. They seem to play that part stronger than most other beers. I thought that was the strongest part of this one...
Bottle from Oddbins Rosemount. Pours clear amber gold with a fluffy off-white head. Aromas initially come through high with syrup and grain which I don’t find particular appealing as they’re almost too sweet. There’s a vague orangeyness there cleaning things up before an alcohol and tingly pepperiness finish it. The taste is big with barley sugars. So that sweetness prevails again initially. As with the nose there’s a light citrus element. A boozy alcohol vapour is prowling about finished with a light spicy earth. The beer feels soft and full bodied with the fluffy glossy head gliding down reminding me of a creamy English ale. The dry moderate sparkle is almost overcome by it. This to me feels like an amped up ale that lacks the crisp refreshment many Tripels observe. It is a fine smooth Belgian ale nonetheless. mauritsio (926) - FINLAND - JUL 9, 2017
Bottle. Golden with medium head. Bready, malty, thick texture, some sweetness, quite strong alcohol bite. Maakun (5560) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUL 2, 2017
Bottle in some random bar. Clear darker golden with white head. No yeast depot which seems strange for a triple... Lots of sweet malts, honey, apricot, light cloves and esthery yeast. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Cleaned up triple, goes down well but nothing interesting at all. RudiGR (51) - Dendermonde, BELGIUM - JUN 25, 2017

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2017 Aroma: Cereals and herbes, a bit of an alcoholic note.
Appearance: Amber/gold color with lightly hazy sparkling liquid and white frothy head.
Taste: Medium sweetness with light bitter notes.
Palate: Medium body with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Long sweet caramel finish with a very subtle alcoholic touch.
Overall: A great beer and very easy to drink even with a high alcoholic rate. The alcoholic touches are very subtle and that is always a good thing. PilsnerDoctor32 (263) - madrid, SPAIN - MAY 3, 2017
