Taking awesome and doubling it can only be double awesome. It’s math. This is essentially the 35K recipe doubled. Double roasty, double chocolatey, double creamy, double delicious. Then we decided to make it 2.5X awesome by aging it in Angel’s Envy barrels for a really, really long time. The bourbon and oak flavors perfectly compliment the massive flavors in the double mega imperial milk stout. You don’t swim in this beer, it swims in you!

Pours deep ebony with a medium brown head. No lacing. Aroma is chocolate fudge, vanilla, prunes, roasted dark malts, wood and bourbon. Taste, as expected, is similarly complex, with chocolate, espresso, oak, bourbon, little fruitiness and a delicate roasty background. Flavours linger in the palate forever. Supposedly a sipper, but it taste too good to hold the urge to down it. Great, great, great!

On tap at Against the Grain Brewery, Louisville Kentucky served in a snifter glass, 5 ounce? I like everything about this double Imperial Stout. Pours black with a small dark head. Malty dark chocolate, bourbon. Sweet. Not better. No aftertaste. Good finish. You would never guess it is 13% ABV.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey. Black with tan head. Aromas of raisins, dark fruit, bourbon, oak. Tastes of bourbon, dark chocolate, oak, caramel, coffee, light roast. Full body with a dry finish. Well masked alcohol with no heat, fantastic.

On tap at HopCat. Lots of chocolate aroma with wood and booze from the barrel. Taste is nicely sweet.

If you want a sweet stout, this is the definition, and should be known as one of the best.

majdnem fekete sör, nem túl magas, krémszerű barna habbal, öröm nézni! illatában aszalt meggyes, csokoládés, likőrös, s az íze se cáfol rá az illatban érzettekre, tán csak némi gyógynövénylikőr adódik még hozzá plusznak a töménytelen csokihoz. fantasztikus sör!

Yes and yes.... ATG kills is most all the time and not unlike Bo & Luke, 70k knocks it out of the park. Big bro to 8+ % 35k, the 70 sits strong at 13% and taste like it. Those of us with a pair that can handle an imperial like this, certainly appreciate it.

Aroma is roasted malt, barrel, chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Appearance is black, light tan head. Taste is barrel, really nice, vanilla, coffee, roasted malt, just really good. Mouthfeel is thick, great carbonation, not detection of the over 13% booze. Overall, this is very impressive.

Tap @ Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Pours black with a gorgeous, thick and creamy, mocha-colored head. Aroma is a superbly strong whiff of sweet vanilla chocolate. Just mesmerizing and enchanting. Taste follows along the same lines. Sweet with vanilla and chocolate, not cloyingly so. A lot of roast and bittersweet chocolate to balance. Just marvelous. Could drink tons. Smooth, full, some carbonation.
