COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Born out of an appreciation for the classic style Old Ale, AtG Brewmaster Adam and Beer Engine Brewmaster Brian Holton have crafted the Brettish Bulldog for your quaffing pleasure. An Old Ale, only by grain bill, its funky, sweet malty, and complex. The Brettish Bulldog expresses flavors of cocoa and dark fruit, while a touch of funk and sour round it out. When asked where the inspiration for the beer came, the guys explained it was an interpretation of stock ale, which was described to have a port like quality.

Zabutelkowane 2014. Piana drobna powoli opada.

500 ml bottle (?)
Located in the cellar while doing some cleaning I opted to crack this open as the season changed from fall to winter. The contents seem to have held up well with the brett still in the process of changing it further. Maybe it is time to consider a trip to Beer Engine to see what is going on in the other parts of the state.

Aroma / Appearance - A creamy caramel base glows with a light warmth. Vanilla head filters the scent of tangy caramel, molasses, and malt vinegar. A sour texture resides in the background without being much more than the scent of slowly fading Hershey’s kisses.

Flavor / Palate - A tang of chocolate soaked in vinegar opens with a delicate tartness. The chewy mouthfeel crawls into every corner of the palate as it flows to a bitter finish like days old tea. If you prefer traditional old ales don’t bother but if you want to see what happens with a little playfulness grab an aged bottle.

Bottle. Light hazy copper liquid with small to medium off-white head. Aroma of funk, light lemon, grain, caramel, vanilla, light clove and jenka. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes of toffee, funk, red berries, mango and light clove. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty decent, but a bit messy.
