This beer is not candy or mother’s milk. It is not brewed by gypsies or aliens, nor does it contain any zombie dirt. This is an American Style IPA brewed with Citra Hops. It is citrusy, sticky, hoppy and delicious. Simply drink it and enjoy it. Don’t hoard this beer, Citra Ass Down and drink it now.

(Online description:) This is a very hop forward American style IPA. Brewed with Pale, Vienna, Munich and wheat malt for a solid base for all American hops, focusing mainly on the variety “Citra.” Citra hops are a relatively new variety introduced in 2008. It was bred as a hybrid of a number of different hops, including Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, U.S. Tettnanger, East Kent Golding, Bavarian, Brewers Gold, and other unknown hops. The resulting hop, Citra, has a distinct citrusy and tropical fruit flavor and aroma. In Citra ass down we used American Columbus for bittering and 11# of Citra at the end of the boil for late kettle addition flavor and aroma. Then we added 6 more pounds Citra and 5# Centennial post fermention for aroma. Rebrewed for your tasting pleasure!

What a good beer all my favorites hops, high Abv and it comes in a big ass can. Pour is hazy orange with a full white head. Aroma is bright, hoppy and earthy. Full flavors tons of citrus not as earthy as its aroma but it does have floral notes. Just good beer.

The aroma is hops, citrus. Pours an orange/copper with white head mostly diminishing and excellent lacing. the taste is bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish bitter. Very Good IIPA!!!!

2017/08/23 - Pours a clear orange gold colour with a thin, soapy, white head that quickly reduces and leaves minimal lacing. Aroma is pine, bready notes, caramel, citrus (orange and grapefruit). Taste is sweet bread, caramel malt, pine, lemon, herbal notes and light alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with lightly biting carbonation and a long, bittersweet, mildly warming finish. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2017 A 16 oz can courtesy of Strykzone. Thanks, Dave. Pours gold with a white head. Nose of citrus, pine, and floral hops. Medium body. Flavor as the aroma. Finishes bitter. Really good.

Can thanks to Mike. Canned on 11/18/16(!). Pours crystal clear orange, medium creamy off-white head, dissipates slowly, good lacing. Aroma is grassy, pine, grapefruit, caramel. Flavor is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, grassy. Lacking citra identity, likely due to age. Medium body. Still not terrible, but how is this still on a shelf. Shameful

Rating #2543 - 2016.05.05 - Draught at Strangelove’s in Philly. Clear golden pour with a bubbly white foam, spotty lacing. Nose is tangerine, orange rind, pine needle, grass. Mouthfeel crisp, mild alcohol warmth, low-medium carbonation. Citra shines through in the flavour with some lemon, tropical citrus notes, and a piney/resiny note that twinkles into an assertive bitterness.

16oz can much thanks to Kenny. Pours a chill hazed amber color with a finger of frothy off white head. Aroma/taste of caramel malts, old citrus fruit, bad lemons, grass, tea leaves, and citrus skins.

16 oz can. Pours a hazy copper color with full head. Aromas of tea and toffee. Flavors doughy malts, toffee, grass, a little bitter lemon and tea. May be a bit old...
