COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is not candy or mother’s milk. It is not brewed by gypsies or aliens, nor does it contain any zombie dirt. This is an American Style IPA brewed with Citra Hops. It is citrusy, sticky, hoppy and delicious. Simply drink it and enjoy it. Don’t hoard this beer, Citra Ass Down and drink it now.

(Online description:) This is a very hop forward American style IPA. Brewed with Pale, Vienna, Munich and wheat malt for a solid base for all American hops, focusing mainly on the variety “Citra.” Citra hops are a relatively new variety introduced in 2008. It was bred as a hybrid of a number of different hops, including Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, U.S. Tettnanger, East Kent Golding, Bavarian, Brewers Gold, and other unknown hops. The resulting hop, Citra, has a distinct citrusy and tropical fruit flavor and aroma. In Citra ass down we used American Columbus for bittering and 11# of Citra at the end of the boil for late kettle addition flavor and aroma. Then we added 6 more pounds Citra and 5# Centennial post fermention for aroma. Rebrewed for your tasting pleasure!

What a good beer all my favorites hops, high Abv and it comes in a big ass can. Pour is hazy orange with a full white head. Aroma is bright, hoppy and earthy. Full flavors tons of citrus not as earthy as its aroma but it does have floral notes. Just good beer.

So I expected more given the price and hype of this brewery for my first beer. This is just an average imperial ipa. Nothing memorable.

16 oz. can. Pours a thick, well retained, light ivory head, with heavy lacing, over very slightly hazy, amber (SRM 9) body.....nose is heavy fruits with citrus primarily grapefruit, melon, hints of pineapple, slight pine, all from the hops, light malts, many esters, balance to the hops......taste is moderately sweet with caramel tones, multiple fruits with citrus, orange, grapefruit, lemon, light melon, finishing with light bitterness.....mouth feel, medium body, alcohol warmth, low carbonation. This falls well into the I/DIPA style, with the only flaw being the rather light bitterness. It is easy drinking and quite fruity. BJCP 8/3/16/4/7

Pint can, Wine Warehouse. Pours amberish with a large beige head. Aroma is citrus, mostly grapefruit, but smells stale. Flavor is syrupy citrus, roasted malt. Chewy, thick. Light sweetness in the ass end and a long lingering peach juice.

It pours golden with an off white head. Head retention is good. It is clear. It has a citrus and stone fruit aroma. There is a bit of melon in the background as well. There is a lot of peach flavor with some melon. It has a sweet element that makes the peach taste almost like schnapps. The has a moderate body with a slightly slick feel to it. The aftertaste carries the sweetness and peachiness well into the aftertaste. It is very smooth and deceptive with an 8.2 ABV. Overall, I really like peaches in alcohol and this one is down very well. It is a wonderful IPA.

Pint can. Caramel malt aroma with notes of grapefruit hop citrus and pine resiny hops. Pours clear amber colored with a large off whitenhead that has excellent retention but little lacing. Starts with caramel malt and dank grapefruit citrus hop flavors. Finishes dry with more grapefruit citrus and bitter pine resiny hops that linger on the palate after each sip. Pretty nice IPA.
