Draft sample May 2012. Pours a dark brown to black color with a small khaki head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, black coffee, espresso, chocolate with a sizable dose of bittering hops. Solid drinker, very enjoyable. zebra (2097) - Illinois, USA - MAY 29, 2012

Draught at Lexington Beerworks. Big black pour with tons of coffee and chocolate. Bit of the tart berry that marks a big stout like this. ABV not dominant. Very nice. deyholla (11503) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 19, 2012
On tap at local option. Pours a near clear very dark brown with a brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of coffee with backing dark grains, roasted malt and a hint of licorice. On tap at Bad Apple. Pours near black with tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, good dose of coffee, and some chocolate. Flavors roasted malts, semi-sweet chocolate, and nice smooth coffee flavor. Mouthfeel was perfect for coffee stout. As far as coffee stouts go this was pretty damn good.

From a growler that turned up at Flossmoor’s pre-DLD party. I have got to visit this place next time we’re in Louisville. Holy coffee...in a good way. This was seriously like a beer inspired espresso and not vice versa. I love coffee and this was awesome. Creamy, oily and bitter. Lovely. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - APR 29, 2012
Growler courtesy shrubber85. Coffee, chocolate, dark fruit, ash aroma. Black with a minimal head. Coffee malt, sweet chocolate, and light acidic flavor with a light bitter finish. Full smooth body. Extremely nice. shrubber85 (11324) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - APR 25, 2012
Tap from source. Ash,chocolate and coffee malt aroma. Black color with small tan head. Mildly sweet chocolate and coffee malt flavor with a mildly bitter herbal hops finish. Incredibly smooth with no discernible alcohol. An easy drinking imperial stout - excellent. ContemplateBeer (2089) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - APR 24, 2012
Aroma of coffee, lightly acidic berries and chocolate. Appearance was black with mocha head. Flavor matched the nose; the berries were quite bright and pleasant, making this a unique imperial stout. Palate was oily and creamy. Excellent.
