COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English style barleywine aged in Angels Envy bourbon barrels. Brewed with enough Maris Otter pale, Aromatic and caramel malts to nearly overflow our mash tun. We then balanced this beer with some English Nugget and Kent Goldings hops. The resulting ale was sweet, nutty and powerful, but we didnt stop there. The entire batch was put into used Angels Envy barrels for nearly 3 months to gather the residual bourbon flavor and some aromatic and drying oak notes. By the way, Balling is a measurement of specific gravity.

Hazy amber/brown with a medium cream head. Beautiful aroma of sweet malts, biscuit and whiskey. Taste is very malty in the British way, using great sweet malts, lot of fruity aroma, caramel, biscuit, vanilla, oak and whisky, which gives a strong boozy finish. Great ale, loving every sip of it!

Pounder Can via Herr Slothenstein! Ja! Moderate malty nose with whisps of oak and you guessed it....Booze. Yay. I needed this at 10:30am, kind of a rough week with the job hunt. Malts compliment each other and hops, while present do not dominate, but compliment. Speaking of compliments, the 12.5 % this boasts is, for real and helped my weary bones recover to their usual Adonis like marble like perfection. Oh and also, compliments to Sloth for sending this my way.
