COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A solid base of British Marris Otter malt, generous additions of oats and roasted barley, and a blend of caramel and chocolate malt lend this stout a ton of complexity. A nitro pour further highlights the rich, velvety flavors of coffee and chocolate that lay on top of a deep roasted character. The oats make sure that the flavors stick around after each swig. A quintessential dark beer.

On tap in Bloomington
This was released at the Tap last month. A fine example of what Against the Grain can achieve, it was excellent from start to finish. Until I can make it down to Louisville again I will be happy to drink anything that makes its way across the border to the local bars.

Aroma / Appearance - A creamy brownish base looks like cola but with a foamy protective head. Ample carbonation bubbles up from time to time. Dry wheat, cold coffee, cool oatmeal cookies, and more sweeten the air like a tray of desserts.

Flavor / Palate - Creamy velvet and chocolate start the chewy experience well. Next comes Hostess cupcakes followed by a full bodied wheat. Malt driven and polished it is not hard to drink. I don’t know if it will make a comeback but if it does jump on the chance to try a fine release.

Taste of burnt dark malt, caramel, bitter chocolate and light fruit. Light/medium body and low carbonization (nitro). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
