draft during lcbw at the bo and luke release. poured a dark brown almost back with tan/mocha head that dissipates quickly. nice aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and the sweetness of the port barrel. the flavor is very good with the flavor of the roasted malts and chocolate blended together and fused with the port wine. gives it an almost sweetness that you normally dont find in an imperial stout. the smoke throughout is very mild in aroma and flavor.

Tap Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Session 3. Pours clearish dark brown with a creamy tan head. Lots of barrel character in the aroma, dark chocolate, burnt wood. Big sweet flavor with rich torched wood, light bitter chocolate, fine earthy bitterness. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with bitter cocoa, burnt wood, some charred malts, burnt grassl Great stuff.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. A blurry light bronze colored one who a small islandy and sidesticking beige top. Light caramel sweet on the nose, concentrated fruits, the frozen kind, some pinework and traces of both gunpowder and red fruits. Enjoyable! Its above average on the carbonation, a bit like chugging soda or sparkling water with a mild oily mouthfeel. I really like the taste in this. Caramel with lots of red berries. A little dry wood touch also. Hints of alcohol in the sweet aftertaste. A really nice one! 04.05.2013
