Solid brew. alexsdad06 (10943) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 22, 2015
Draft to taster at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a clear orange amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have a pale, toasted malt base with some spicy, lemon citrus hop character. Mild sweetness with a mild plus bitterness to the finish. Decent APA. DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 19, 2015
4oz on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Nice kind of peppery spicy hop flavor up front, and toasty malt. Get some of the lemon. Light to moderate bitter taste, lighter to moderate sweet. Clear golden orange color. Thin white head, leaving good pillars of lace. Medium body -- doesn’t really drink too heavy, despite the slightly higher ABV. Light, kind of crisp carbonation. Mild slick finish. Tasty balanced pale ale.. Above average hop, without being too bitter. And the hop that there is unusual and interesting. rondphoto (4494) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JUL 27, 2015
on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium amber color, creamy one-finger white head, lace streamers. Taste is mostly malt with a strong hop chaser. There may be light citrus, maybe even some coconut, but no spice. A decent "regular" Ale.

One of the better pale ales I have had lately. A good hoppy flavor with a nice nose. Easy drinking. edgallow (4559) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 2, 2015
16 oz draft pours golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, malts and some spice. Taste is grapefruit and malts. drfabulous (8667) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAY 11, 2015
Draught at Blue Stallion. Light yellow pour. Light color. Light pale hops. Crisp. Decent. ContemplateBeer (2097) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - APR 10, 2015
Aroma: Actually a bit on the light side; caramel, vanilla and lemon with the balance going toward lemon. Appearance: Very pale, nearly still yellow body with a skin of white head. Flavor: Really lemony throughout; malts thoroughly dry up; a little grassy character comes in towards the finish, which is somewhat bitter. Palate: Medium body, slick texture, very soft carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: An uneven showing for me. It’s better than my score suggests (weird to say, I know) but I also can’t bring myself to change any score above. Brigadier (3760) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - FEB 28, 2015

A very solid release mixes the typical Against the Grain experience with a little twist. If not for the slightly high gravity this one could almost be considered sessionable. Once again Louisville’s best represents the Midwest well.
Aroma / Appearance - A golden semitransparent body shimmers with crisp white head provided shelter from the air. Lemon, wheat, crisp malts, and citrusy hops blossom as it warms.
Flavor / Palate - A bitter burst of lemons emerge the second that it hits the tongue. Hints of rye sweep towards the throat. Sticking to the palate, the experience balances a strong first impression with a memorable finish. Assertive and hop driven, this pale ale kicks off any tasting session in style.
