(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 19 July 2012) Dark brown colour, almost black, with foamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, dark bread and caramel. Roasted, malty taste with chocolate, raisins, dark bread, brown malt and a mild, spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Quite decent. wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 14, 2012
Tasted on 8/14/12 from a capped 750mL bottle from the Rare Beer Club. Pours dark, cola brown with a thick beige head that slowly recedes to very thick and rocky lace. The nose is nutty caramel and milk chocolate malt, with maybe just a touch of light coffee, and I don’t know how to describe it, but I can smell the carbonation. The flavor is the same nutty milk chocolate with some bitterness, and the same over-carbonation. The body is light with fizzy over-carbonation and a long bitter chocolate malt finish. ekstedt (6976) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 23, 2012
Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Dark brown, soapy beige head. Milk chocolate upfront, some nutty aromas as well. Light to medium bodied, low carbonation. Semi dry, medium bitterness. Mariatxi (1) - - JUL 18, 2012 does not count
De gas esmorteït, bon retrogusst i bouquet però poc persistent en boca. L’amargor és la característica que més es perceb.

Not sure where I got this bottle. It’s a big bottle so hoping I can get through it. Enjoyed at cellar temp (60F) in a Duvel Tulip.

A - Intense carbonation even on a very delicate pour. Dark nut brown ale very cloudy 4 finger leather head with really nice lacing and subsided slowly.
S - Very musty leathery scent. roasted almonds. Very nutty.
T - Big carbonation makes flavours hard to detect. Old candy, burnt caramel and multi-grain bread. Sweet and like a cheap candy store toffee.
M - 100% carbonation. Medium body. bitter old candy finish with a hint of oak.
O - This tastes okay. It’s not great and I wouldn’t have it again. It’s also very big so I’m not happy to finish it.
Dark brown pour with a nice lasting beige head. Aroma earthy, coffee, and caramel. Roasted taste with coffee, nuts, caramel, and some hop bitterness. Pretty dry. Very enjoyable. beerbastard (844) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Thanks Javier for bringing this one! Nothing outstanding but still a good beer. Clean and fresh with no off flavors. Lite malt nose with a carmel nutty flavor. Thin, but enjoyable, good for warm days. dcschiller (2211) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 27, 2012
Shared by beerbastard! Pours a dark brown color with a soapy eggshell head. Aroma of caramel and hard candy. Taste is mostly sweet. Thin bodied with a fairly dry finish. Ok at best. daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 26, 2012
Reddish brown, cream colored head. Straight forward aroma of caramel malt, nuts. Creamy body, nuts and oats in the flavor.
