Bottle from Delerium cafe. A potpourri of herbs partying sensibly inside my mouth. They’re all behaving in an orderly fashion but somehow it’s still fun. Nice unexpected kick to the finish. larsniclas (7036) - Billdal, SWEDEN - JUN 19, 2005
Amber with a large white head.
Fruity aroma with oak and rosépepper.
Fruity and spicy flavour. Very fresh, flowery beer. oh6gdx (26482) - Vasa, FINLAND - OCT 3, 2006
Bottled as Ahle Sommarspetz. Copper coloured, small white head. Big spicy aroma with some maltyness. Flavour is juniper and some other spices all the way through. Herbal brew, which almost is something of a mix of a low alco mead meeting sahti and spices. Lovely! Ungstrup (37227) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 5, 2007
Bottled as SommarSpetz. An amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of berries and medium notes of spices and malt. The flavor is very complex with notes of spices, bog myrtle, cloves, and malt, leading to a dry end. SaintMatty (7298) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JUL 13, 2012
330ml Bottle - Copper with a small white head. Wood, juniper, aftershave and spruce in the aroma. Malty, nutty and woody taste with notes of juniper, toffee and dried fruit.
hammenlind (737) - Sundbyberg, SWEDEN - JUN 26, 2005
Golden colour, medium white head. Earthy nose with grassy hints. Earthy flavour as well with notes of juniper. Light bodied. Slight bitter finish with some notes of vegetables. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 2, 2008
Bottle at 3 Små Rum, as Ahle SommarSpetz. Pours a nice, clear, copper body with a beige head. Heather, myrica gale, camphor, piney hops and some maltyness in the aroma. The flavor is herbal and sweet, with caramel and some bitterness. Medium body and a herbal finish. The aroma of the beer was very promising, but unfortunately the flavor didn’t follow up. Due to the herbs, it’s a kinda strange beer, but with good drinkability. (080709) gyllenbock (9096) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 29, 2012
Bottle from Systembolaget in August 2012, e-order. (labeled as SommarSpetz).
Amber with a medium white head. This was an interesting one. Really a lot of different stuff in the taste, especially spices juniper and sweet gale. Also notes of wood and flowers. The finish was dry. Not bad but different.
rickgordon (3874) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 25, 2005
Amber colour. Smells like a Gin & Tonic. Also notes of soil in aroma. Flavour is very much soily and cellary, with smallish notes of juniper. Body is pretty light. Refreshing and interesting beer. Not a pilsener, rather a Spice/Herb/Vegetable. motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - FEB 13, 2007
rbesg06, bottle at delirium. deep amber, weird aroma of jaegermeister and polished floorboards. light texture, plenty of juniper flavour, weird but not bad
