MichaelAwesome (6546) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - APR 12, 2013
Earlier Rating: 4/8/2013 Total Score: 2.4
Ziemlich ländlich für ein Classic German. Robust, leicht mufflig und malzig-süffig. Einfach ganz ok, ohne wirklich groß zu glänzen.

McTapps (6941) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - APR 11, 2013
Clear medium colour with low steady head and medium body. Nose of hops. Taste of medium bitter, fresh hops, light grass, hay, coriander, mild oranges and thyme. It is a surprisingly nice, fresh and lively Classic German Pilsener. Not what I expected from the awful label design.
Earlier Rating: 4/8/2013 Total Score: 2.7
Clear golden colour with steady head and medium body. Nose of malt. Taste of mild hops, mild grains, warm grass, oranges and cloves. Very easy to drink but way too sweet. It absolutely doesn’t taste like a CGP, not even the name of the beer suggestes one....

Test vom 29.10.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,7,9,6,13,8 - 8,35

BeerViking (4954) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 1, 2012

Hazy yellow beer. Light corn aroma. Flavour is sweet and corny. Not to bitter.

BlackHaddock (7518) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2012
0.5 litre brown flip-top bottle, obtained in Berlin and brought home to review at leasure. Best before 2nd April 09, drank Jan 09. Poured into a UK pint sleeve glass. I was expecting a cloudy Landbier, what sat before me was a Helles or Pilsner in looks. Golden, bright, clear and bubbley with a good white head on top. The large head which greated me tried to stay, but a wispy covering and collar were all that was left at the end. Gets my normal average lager score for smell, there isn’t any as usual for this style. Dry and fairly ordinary. If I had known it was this bland it wouldn’t have been flown back with me. Typical helles with all the normal character you know about. Nothing wrong with the beer, I just feel cheated, my German is obviously not as good as i thought! Pleasant enough for a lager based beer, some body and flavours to almost chew on.

500ml bottle (HBF2011)
6 Floury bready aroma. Fresh, but raw.
3 Straw coloured. Small head settles to a ring.
6 Simple light grains, husks, a hint of hops too.
3+ Thin, but refreshing. Slight buttery finish, but otherwise fresh.
11 A bit simple, but very refreshing. The late hoppy finish is pretty good.

TBone (17796) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 10, 2011
Bottled (HBF2011, BB 08/2011)
Golden color, small white head. Green apple, diacetyl in the nose. Light to medium bodied. Buttery, sweetish malty, perhaps a bit diacetylic flavor. Light grassy hoppyness.
