bread, barnyard, spruce, cough drop, banana, golden, hazy, white foam, rocky head, tan foam, light sweetness, very bitter, medium sourness, umami, medium body, sticky, average carbonation, bitter, long finish, Bronstein (175) - Göttingen, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2002
Pale yellow color, sweet hoppy aroma. Starts slightly malty continues spicier, then becomes hoppier and finishes slightly dry. Spicy in the a bit lengthy aftertaste. Very well balanced 'Landbier'(country beer). As such not very edgy. Quack-Duck (9487) - Down South, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2007
bottle. Golden yellow, large head. Quite hoppy in a very pleasant way. Full-bodied with a solid malty base. jaghana (6226) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - MAR 13, 2011
Bottle 50cl from Quack-Duck thanks ! A clear yellow beer with good head. Smell is hopy. A great pilsener, sweet, malted, fruity and nicely hopy with resin and honey aroma, pleasant with a good body. Nice beer with floral notes and a sweet creamy finish, thanks very much Stephan. fly (1486) - austin, Tejas, Texas, USA - APR 28, 2003
Found this in the weiss bier loving region of Bavaria. Only wish I had the ability to communicate in German as I am curious of many things related to this - many people drink it? true to the landbier style? Nice swing top bottle with your traditional looking Bavrian guy. Oh, yeah, the actual beer ... Clean, pale golden, light malt and hops, fairly dry. While this isn't something to get me to jump up and down - if the macros here were to come out with this it would be cause for celebration.

Swing-top bottle: Golden coloured, small but lacing white head; sweet-malty, a bit bready nose with a distinctive touch of honey, aromatic hops also detectable; soft bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied; mild, but distinctive, lingering bitter-sweet finish. Pleasant, the mix of honey and aromatic hops reminds of a Bohemian Pilsener............. KnutAlbert (6771) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 26, 2008

Soft, found, full body. More Bohemian style than German. Very decent, but it could have had a bit more bite. Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 5, 2009
Bottle 50 cl. Clear golden with a creamy white head. Clean, malty nose. Medium body, malty with a dry and lightly sulphurous finish. 221108 McTapps (6957) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - APR 11, 2013
Clear medium colour with low steady head and medium body. Nose of hops. Taste of medium bitter, fresh hops, light grass, hay, coriander, mild oranges and thyme. It is a surprisingly nice, fresh and lively Classic German Pilsener. Not what I expected from the awful label design.MichaelAwesome (6545) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - APR 12, 2013

Clear golden colour with steady head and medium body. Nose of malt. Taste of mild hops, mild grains, warm grass, oranges and cloves. Very easy to drink but way too sweet. It absolutely doesn’t taste like a CGP, not even the name of the beer suggestes one....
