Draught at the brewpub. Pours copper with offwhite head. The aroma is toast and slight caramel with a roasty touch and a hint of lemon. The flavor is toast, a little bit of caramel, and slight roast. Distant earthy hops and a slight metallic note are in the finish.

beernovice39 (3269) - Idaho, USA - JUN 9, 2010
On tap at Aiken Brewing. A clear amber pour with off white head. Malty scent. Taste was balanced with a dry finish. Nice

DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - JUN 2, 2010
Amber with good lacing. Nose is very light. Clean mouth feel with a light nuttiness and a short, bitter hoppy finish. Different for a "red" beer. Nice, but not great.

decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - FEB 28, 2009
Orange with off white head and lace. Light caramel on the nose. Light caramel with nice light reisiny finish. A bit thin but with good carbonation. A tick away from being very good.

jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - FEB 7, 2009
on tap-pours an off white head and red color. Aroma is sweet medium malt-caramel, some spice hops. Taste is sweet medium malt-caramel, some perfumy/spice hops.

Oakes (18756) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 7, 2009
Golden amber-brown. Toasty, caramelly nose. Lots of rich earthy caramel character. Nicely made - rich and chewy for the style.

Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 6, 2009
Clear amber, with small tan head. Diacetyl aroma is off-putting but there is some nuttiness beneath. Soft carbonation. Major butter bomb and way too sweet too. Nutty, and has either seen better days or is not living up to its potential.

BlackDonald (1126) - Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA - JUN 5, 2008
Rich toasted malts in the nose and in the flavor. A hint of caramel, and some sweet honey nuttiness. On the border of being medium bodied, light and crisp on the palate. Really easy to drink.

nearbeer (5601) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 21, 2007
UPDATED: SEP 16, 2008 Draft. Clear amber with a creamy head that has good retention. Dried, toasted nut and yeast aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet toasted nut that has those unique British dry, earthy hop and yeast flavors that increase slightly in the middle and finish. Light-medium body and dry palate.
