UPDATED: DEC 11, 2015 Draft at Airbräu MUC. Murky gold with a fine white head. Pale malt aroma is toasted cereals, faint dough, faint husks; hops are expressed as lemon juice, citrus pith, tangerine. Medium-light bodied, creamy and supple and savory in the mouth, medium-low sweetness tempered well by bitterness. The malt is expressed authentically and delicately.

Good solid beer, decent aroma, decent amount of hops. Great for a Airport Pub. However Bavaria has more to offer...

Saeglopur (2024) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - AUG 25, 2014
Draught at Airbräu, Munich Airport. Deep golden to orange, hazy body, with a big, creamy, white head, that leaves a thick, ring-shaped lacing. Aroma and taste of grains, hay, grass, bread, honey, herbs, some fruits. Mouthfeel is medium to light, slick, with a lively carbonation and it finishes bitter, with grass, herbs and some honey. Nice, refreshing and well balanced Zwickel. Tasty, natural grainy notes. Really quaffable.

Tap at Airbräu in Munich. Hazy golden body with decent white head that remained at about 2mm thickness all the time. Very light bitterness, some hops and fruity smell. Subtle bittery aftertaste. Very refreshing.

500ml draft at Next to Heaven. Clear, deep gold, still some head when it reached the table. Malty aroma with some European hops. Tastes like a beefed up Euro-lager, so, drinkable. Body was a little watery, but acceptable for a lager. Overall, a good example of the style.
