Estupenda lager no filtrada. Notas de pan fresco, plátano y lúpulos nobles. Una buena referencia en lagers. Totalmente recomendable.

Cloudy golden with a large white head. Aroma had grassy hops. Flavor was clean with grassy hops and a bitter finish. Soft texture.

My Bottom Line:
Herbal hops and their citrusy tips overcome smooth cereals in this bitter unfiltered lager.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sizeable head of foam laces around the cloudy straw blond.
-Hops are generous and well developed throughout.
-Balance is not really achieved though, which is strange for what is billed as a Pilsener.
-Malts could be better defined.
-This is still a nice Kellerbier-like lager.

On tap. Pours a light cloudy golden color. Aroma light hoppy, straw, fresh a light bitterness.

heavy (2890) - Split, CROATIA - MAY 29, 2016
May ’15. On tap at the brewpub (Munich airport). It poured hazy yellow body with medium sized head. Malty honey and lemon aroma. Lightly hoppy. A bit chalky flavor, bitter, lemony and herbal, also slightly peppery. Malt notes were less pronounced. Medium in body with long finish considering the style. Fine honey malt was again dominating the aftertaste. A very pleasant pils with lots of typical brewpub characteristics.

TAR (2779) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - MAR 19, 2016
Draught at Airbräu, Munich Airport, Terminal 2 in Dec. 2015: Hazed golden. Creamy, natural-looking white foam. Bright aromas of lemon marmalade, hay, peach Danish, fresh-cut melon, orange pith and a hint of rustic sulfur. Subtle soapiness. Assertively hoppy from the get go, with zesty, oily and lemony notes backed by an orange pith softness. Bright esters supplement the well attenuated body with a succulence, as the continually unfolding hoppy complexity reveals some appetizing peppery shades. Aggressive hoppiness is oily to the point of being jammy. Richly textured pils malt shows grassy hay qualities which deftly buoy the hops. Kiss of dusty yeast and gripping minerals contrast nicely with the succulent body. Envelope-pushing hops are laced with satiating lemony oils and strong floral notes which give way to orangey hop burps at the finish. A lovely hopcentric rendition that would be at home in Franconia, but not what one expects to find in Southern Bavaria, or let alone, an airport. Unfiltered and brimming with old world charm. Perhaps a little soapy and doughy at times, but that’s easy to forgive. Really enjoyed the dunkel, weissbier and unfiltered helles, as well. As a side note: their system is a beautiful thing…copper kettle, wooden mash tun and wooden fermenter! Looking forward to my next flight to MUC, just to fuel up on some decent food and excellent beer.
