Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. Clear, golden appearance with a big, white head. Great appearance. Big straw, hay, floral, herbal aroma. Crisp, straw, dry grainy, floral, noble hoppy flavor. Easy drinking and refreshing. JorisPPattyn (10072) - BELGIUM - APR 29, 2006
Yellow-golden beer; good white head, retreating with a little lace. Slightly smoked, and sweet-warm malts nose. Not very assertive, however. Warming up, some smoked fish nose coming up - smoked trout? Again "warm" grain - pale malts in the taste; the warming being a combination of MF and sweet taste. Better bodied than a Pilsner would be: more like an Export. Very easy drinking. Good Vollbier, worth trying. 3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 29, 2012

lightly hazed pale gold. clean and soft nose of fruit nectar, pillowy / fluffy minerals, light honey, light spice. medium body with enjoyable fullness of body with low carbonation. round, frothy, rich, starchy, sweet, etc. quite good. very quiet, but the yeast is wonderfully rustic and provides a subtle mustiness. hell yes.
Bottled, from Landbierparadies, Nuremberg. Lightly hazy pale golden, mid sized head. Grass, minerals and fruit in the nose. Dryish with mefium body and firm, rounded mouthfeel. Driven by minerals and soicy, grassy hops. Crisp bready malt lies underneath. Long bitter finish. A refreshing hoppy lager. downender (8891) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 29, 2007
Bottle from Der Treffpunkt Nurnberg HBF. Golden beer with a white head. Aroma was of grassy hops with some fruity malt. Flavour was slightly sweet with a decent, hoppy finish. Good.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes dunkel goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig herb, grasig. Geschmack herb, malzig, grasig. MoritzF (10095) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - DEC 7, 2005
(bottle, a gift from pivnizub) Clear and deep golden colour with a small and diminishing foamy white head. Herbal hoppy aroma with straw and a shy touch of honey. Bitter flavour, medium body, smooth carbonation. Dry malty taste with a fruity note turning into a dry herbal hoppy and moderately bitter finish. Quaffable stuff, not very complex but easy going and quite rounded. pivnizub (10813) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - JAN 29, 2006
Bottle (from Landbierparadies): Slightly hazy, golden coloured, small fluffy white head, lacing a bit; sweet-malty, a bit dusty, a bit hoppy nose; slightly bitter-sweet flavour, soft mouthfeel; short, a bit sweetish finish with traces of smoke (????) in the aftertaste. A basic, pleasant, rural brew...... jonas (8035) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - AUG 13, 2009
Bottle, thanks pivnizub. Fairly honeyish sweet aroma. Golde, fine pearling bubbles, white lace. Relatively light body, chewy through the malty sweet focus. Just enough flowery and grassy hops for balance. Grass sticks to the back of the throat, herbal, light smoked notes exhaling. Gains complexity as it breathes. It’s warm golden with a white head, and the aroma has notes of malt, light acetone and fruit. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of malt, bread, light flower and the finish is slightly dry with a hint of acetone.
