COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With an appealing amber color, this brew has a perfect balance of caramel malt and spicy hop flavors. The Munich malt in this recipe lends a rich mouth feel, while generous additions of Pacific-Northwest hops complete the balance. Try a pint of Pale with the Salmon Gyros, Falafel or Alameda Dip.

354ml can from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. Amber brown, clear, with only a tiny bit of visible carbonation and resultant head. Nose is bursting with pine resin. I dont get much else - maybe a hint of woodchips- so this a hells rsinous beverage. Taste is less intense. The bittersweet malt/hops balance overrides the savoury piney element. Surprising bitter note in the aftertaste. Pretty good.

Can from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with a soapy light tan head, aroma has light caramel, taste has watery malt along with some light hop, very disappointing.

OK, but not my favorite, refreshing and has an interesting aftertaste that I really do not care for.

Bottle at chrisos. Pours clear, deep gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds some jammy berries, ripe citrus, pine. Medium sweet flavor with piney bitterness, oily pine, orange rind. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Rindy and resinous on the finish, with lightly toasted malts and orange rind. Not bad.

35.5cl can, served in Shaker. Hazy orange colour, slightly amber-ish, with a nice off-white frothy head. Orange and caramel on the nose, more malty than hoppy. The flavour is mostly toasty notes and earthy hops, balanced by some sweet malts (exactly the other way around). At first it doesnt last much time on the palate, after a while everything is normal. Medium body, good carbonation. A good simple APA.

Rating 1124 08.06.2014 - Consumed straight from bomber in a park SE of the Underground after #yegbeerfest. Golden amber pour with a creamy white head that bubbles away quickly. Hops very fragrant with mild citrus in the aroma. Mouthfeel is creamy, medium carbonation, and bitter hops on the finish - but not overpowering, very balanced. Delicious.
