COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With an appealing amber color, this brew has a perfect balance of caramel malt and spicy hop flavors. The Munich malt in this recipe lends a rich mouth feel, while generous additions of Pacific-Northwest hops complete the balance. Try a pint of Pale with the Salmon Gyros, Falafel or Alameda Dip.

Picked up this bottle in Ashland, Oregon at The Market of Choice. The 22 oz bottle poured a deep amber with red tinges. Very big foarm head that lasted a long time, and left good allacing. Nose of of caramel malts and citrus hops. Mouthfeel is medium. Flavor is like the aroma, mostly caramel malts and citurs hops Finish is dry.

Can from Coppers, Newcastle. Hazy dark amber in colour with a thin white head. It has a red fruit and spicy tropical fruit flavour with a smooth, creamy bitter orange and pine finish.

22 ounce bottle purchased from LetsPour. Poured an amber color with aromas of floral hops, pale malts, and some light fruit. Flavors are the same with a touch of biscuits coming through.

Hazy copper, amber color with no head & light lacing. The aroma is very grapefruity with hops, fresh & floral. Light hopiness compliments the malts perfectly. The use of specialty hops is the key I think. Finishes lightly sweet & bitter. mmmmmmm, not over the top like Stone Pale, more balanced like it should be. Definately dry hopped I think.

Can. Orange pour. Aroma of pine, caramel and bitter hop. Fresh taste of pine, caramelised malt and fresh bitter hop. Solid.

Aroma of biscuity malt, some caramel, earthy hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Not much in the way of fruits, more of an earthy malty aroma. Carbonation is rather high. I’d say this is average at best, I like my APA a lot more fruity. Taking into account that I had an old bottle (well over a year old), I wouldn’t mind trying a fresher specimen one day.

On Tap ratehr dark amber for a pale ale. Thin coarse osandy head. Plenty of toasted and carmelized malts in the aroma and flavor. Modest bitterness and not much in the way of fresh hop flavor.
