Bottle from WB. Hazy amber pour with a short white head fading to a rim and leaving minimal lace. Nose is malty sweet with a bit of funk and orange peel. Medium-light body and moderate, fine carbonation. Toffee, blood orange flesh and peel, some barnyard. Finish is medium and fairly bitter. Neither a good saison nor a good fruit beer.
22oz bottle thanks to Sean. Pours out a hazy burnt orange color topped with a nice head. Nose is citrus some fruit notes a nice pepper spice. Taste is more of the ripe orange notes a little biscuit and the pepper spice. GreatDane1632 (1169) - North Dakota, USA - MAY 16, 2015
Rated based on notes from 25 May 2012 -- Awesome name, decent beer. The wax was a nice touch. Refreshing at least. bpreo (2832) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - APR 26, 2015
A darn good Saison. Done right, with a nice addition of fruit and stuff and thangs. vyvvy (6397) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - FEB 8, 2015
On tap at the brewpub - Pours clear copper / orange with an off-white head. The aroma has blood orange pretty big, some stone fruit and toasty smooth malt. It has a medium / light body with lots of moderately intense carbonation. The flavor starts with light toasty malt, more earthy saison notes that the aroma, dry citrus and herbal tea. The finish has minerals and saison earth. Enjoyable. CapFlu (5126) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 12, 2014
Pours a lasting white head atop a bronze body. Nose of orange and tin. Citrus flavour, very fruity. Okay.

"Dry, citric and tart seems like an accurate description to me. Good saison. Light farmhouse in the aroma with hints of fruit that really come out in the flavor, as does the bone dry body and light pepper. I could drink lots of this. Not lacking in flavor at 5.5%." harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 4, 2013
Rusty, ruddy brown with a fleeting light foam. Rim and central cap leftover. Smells of standard saison yeast (commercial and conventional) - clay, coriander, some hay and a little sweetness. Taste is cheep and theres basically no orange character here through the strength of the yeast. Medium on heavy body with moderate carb and dry, slightly astringent finish. Not impressive. Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has some orange yeast and biscuit malt notes. The flavor is full of tea and yeast notes with some biscuit malt and pepper. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. poisoneddwarf (2511) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - APR 5, 2013
UPDATED: APR 6, 2013 Red wax-dipped bomber. Pours hazy copper with a long-sustaining off-white soapy head. Aroma is citrusy, SweeTarts. Taste is a little tart and finishes bitter. Belgian yeast, an earthiness, along with lots of orange in flavor. Mouthfeel is too foamy for me, body is medium to thin. Not too bad, but definitely not what I was hoping it would be. I have to admit, the horror movie lover in me was drawn to the label. Sledutah (7491) - Utah, USA - FEB 2, 2013
