A light, pleasing ale made especially for a hot summer’s day, this beer is brewed in the traditional German kolsch style. A touch of wheat gives the brew a creamy body, and a German Hersbrucker hops add a mellow flavor to the finish. The Golden goes well with the Chicken Caesar or the Artichoke Mushroom Linguini.

Light golden color, very clear, with a thin head that diminished quickly, and a mild hop aroma. Decent for a light ale, but nothing to get excited about.

Draught @ the brewery. Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head. Nose is light sweet grains. Flavour is similar, sweet grains and a simple malt. It is light and ok.

Keg at the taproom, PDX, 11/11/14. Clear pale golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is loaded with malt, bread dough, straw, grain. Taste comprises bready malts, vanilla, straw, light citrics. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with grassy bitterness. So so.

Hophazard (193) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 14, 2011
Slightly estery nose with little cereal aroma. Transluscent golden with rocky white head. Strong breadiness followed by crisp finish. Light on body with bubbly carbonation. A truly enjoyable blonde.

Peach color. Clingy white head. Light fruity aroma. Medium body. Light stone fruit flavor. Like a fruity kolsch. Really refreshing.

Tap @ Bailey’s Taproom... Poured a very kolsch looking, hazy, pale golden with a thick white head, nice retention. Light, cracker malt and grassy, hop aroma. Thin palate with a dry presence. Light and easy drinking with an earthy, honey, tea-like sweetness. Dry, clean finish. I think this is very underrated here,
