12 oz bottle shared by ebone1988 for the stupid book. The pour is a darker copper color with a thin ring of cream colored head and a couple spots of lace. The aroma is really interesting. There is a maltiness about it and some fruits, with some caramel and a touch of sweet potato. It’s got just a faint bit of metallic on the back end. The flavor is grainy and wet up front. There is a light sweet potato and a bit of light and metallic malt. There’s almost a watered down molasses in there as well. The mouth feel is light and thinly carbonated with a lingeringly sweet and metallic grainy finish. This isn’t that great at all. Shot (533) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - JAN 28, 2017
Bottle. Pours copper with a frothy head. Aromas of sweet malt. Flavors are candied malt, a bit of toffee and bread. Exceedingly smooth. Muted hop presence. This is mainly a sweet, smooth, malty offering. Not bad, but not exceptional. xblanchard29x (39) - Alabama, USA - JAN 27, 2017
Bdubs on draft. OK beer. I’ve had much better but a good alternative to shit beer. cheap (5861) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 18, 2017
OK cool, altbier. Bottle. Darkish pale beer. Sweet malty hardtack candy aroma. Older sweeter near cloying older lager feel. A little thick, sticky with some co2. Medicinal malty thang. Perhaps some peat in there. Malty malt. Seems a lot more than 5.5%. Not impressed. Not nearly as drinkable as Big Boss Beer Fest Beer, Erie Brewing Heritage Alt
or Schell Schmaltzs Alt. JStax (6505) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - DEC 29, 2016
12 ounce bottle poured into a tulip glass. The beer is a dark copper with a beige head of foam. Good head retention. The aroma is nutty and malty. Sweet nutty nuances, a lot like a dry english toffee. Almost musty. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad, but it’s a bit different from what I’ve noticed in other Altbiers.

Creamy mild malty flavor. Almost reminds me of an Octoberfest. Very consistent smooth head that dissipates after a short time. It’s a little weak overall, but verry well balanced. Great color too mikeymike (75) - Kansas, USA - DEC 2, 2016
12 oz bottle. Pours a deep mahogany with a medium head. Aroma is malt forward. Medium mouthfeel with strong maltiness flavor. Finish is dry. A solid Alt style ale I always grab when I’m on the west coast. anstei (2254) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - DEC 2, 2016
