COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The name of this beer style comes from the German word alt meaning old. This refers to the aging that alts undergo since they ferment more slowly and at colder temperatures than most ales. Slow fermentation helps condition the flavors in Alaskan Amber, contributing to its overall balance and smoothness.

Bottle shared with Ran & Dale at their house in Escondido, CA, 21.4.16. Clear dark amber gold with a white head. Malt and biscuit in the nose, Ofel sensed a little bit of ginger, too. Malty and biscuity and nutty and nice taste. Light-to-medium body, soft bitterness and soft fizz, nutty and malty finish.

On tap at The Pub - Monte Carlo (Las Vegas, NV). Limpid amber body with an average, white creamy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with woody hints. Taste is slightly dominated by malty flavors. It carries hoppy, woody, and nutty notes. Ends with a good woody finish. Not bad.

Pours a clear dark orangish red with a thin fizzy head. Light malty aroma with hints of hay and honey. Sweet malty taste. Taste and aroma are both fairly weak and bland. Palate is watery. Not bad but boring.
