12 ounce bottle from the sampler pack. Pretty nice looking amber beer with good carbonation. High viscosity through the use of caramel malts with low hop bitterness and no hop aroma. I do like the fact that this amber ale is not dry hopped, but if it is supposed to be similar to German Altbier, it is way off the mark. Nonetheless, a quite enjoyable amber ale which I think many people will find quite pleasant.
UPDATED: MAR 5, 2018 Wonderful rich color, nice head. A very nice smooth malty flavor. I think that this may be a new go-to ale. lees_29 (52) - - FEB 10, 2018
The name of this beer style comes from the German word “alt” meaning “old”. This refers to the aging that alts undergo since they ferment more slowly and at colder temperatures than most ales. Slow fermentation helps condition the flavors in Alaskan Amber, contributing to its overall balance and smoothness. Easy to drink. Tastes good. I would buy again.

Draft at Kasey's Tavern in Chicago. This is a chewy, rich, malty beer. Toasty bread and grain. Dry, crisp, clean finish. Always great to find an American Altbier on draft.

12oz bottle from Raven Cafe, Prescott, AZ. A dark amber colour with a tight cream head; sweet malt aroma; taste of fruity malts and caramel; and a lingering malty finish. A mellow and pleasant amber ale. drdisque (910) - Illinois, USA - DEC 26, 2017
From a bottle poured into a shaker. Medium bodied fruity and juicy alt. A little light on the maltiness but I think that adds to the drinkability. Solid beer. weitz15 (642) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 23, 2017
