Las Vegas, NV - Smith’s Food & Drugs - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour, soft white head, nice bubble action. Aroma has a solid spruce bent to it, some fresh spearmint. Flavor is solid with some nice solid peach fruitiness, just a hint of citrus bitterness, some light nuttiness, a brief hint of maple syrup. Crisp, thick, nice textured mouthfeel. Very refreshing after a long day of hiking in Bryce Canyon National Park. BigBeer45 (1532) - Michigan, USA - AUG 6, 2014
Sampled from a bottle bought at Champanes,
this ale was a clear copper (honey-gold-amber) in the glass and gave a one finger white head from a quick pour, the cover receded to a bunch of large islands and sticky ring, it left a few spots and small fingers of lacing on the glass,
the nose had aromas of citrus and pine hops with toasted malt that gave faint pear and raisin fruit, faint caramel, and some malt sweetness, the hops were about medium or less, also, the hops had a touch of herb and onion like aroma to them,
the flavors were toasted malt with citrus and grass hops, faint caramel, fruit and sweetness,
the finish had a some hop bitterness with malt trailing,
the mouth feel was light, it was a little creamy on the mouth and had average carbonation,
this was an ok pale ale, not a stand out drink. milewide (2250) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 6, 2014
Their APA is better than their IPA. Clear amber color. Good blend of malt and hops. Aroma was equal to their IPA.

12oz bottle - pours a rusty orange . Nice mix of floral and citrus aromas . Floral hops upfront with some faint citrus on the finish . Well balanced , nicely done .

Bottle into fluted glass. Pours an amber gold with slight white head. Aroma is sweet, grass, citrus, and a little bit smokey. Taste is sweet and malty with a nice citrus back, grassy, orange zest, a bit of pine. Nice and balanced, easy drinking...pretty nice.

On draught in Shagway. Itaks a hoppy beer, citrus, pine, flowers. The aroma and the flavor bear this out. The finish is pine, flowers. Medium in body. Decent, enjoyable, if not memorable. jcr (2705) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUL 14, 2014
Bottle. Light amber body with a frothy white head. Hoppy aroma of citrus, resin, mango, peach. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A little too much resin seeps into the tasty citrus flavors along with some raw hop leafs, but overall an enjoyable APA and one of Alaskan’s better efforts. 5th July 2014, on tap inside the Seafood restaurant of Treasure Island, Las Vegas. My pint arrived almost headless, a reddy amber body almost clear and highly carbonated. Hops all the way in this fairly bitter brew, a citrus bent to the flavour and aroma. Grapefruit notes seemed to leap out at me. Refreshing and a lot better than it looked when it arrived at the table. ryrpat (372) - Illinois, USA - JUL 2, 2014
Nice and flavorful but light at the same time. Was pleasantly surprised would definitely buy this for the fridge

Draft. Clear bright copper color with a lasting one finger white head. Nice hoppy aroma, pine, sap, and citrus. Caramel malt base with pine sap and grapefruit. Dry and somewhat bitter. Clean crisp palate. Drinkable.
