4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma good, appearance golden with pretty bubbles in the pint. Just the right amout of foam that lasted through conversation. Mild hoppiness. Bartender said it was one of those she could drink six of then finally realize how drunk she was. I agree thanks to the subtle but effective 8.6. Rad beer!
A bit heavy and not my favorite IPA a bit of an aftertaste. Decided to go lighter

Aroma is mostly hops - pine and spruce. Malt is just a little bread and caramel.
Color is clear and amber. Head is average size and off-white in color.
Taste is medium sweetness and bitterness is medium to heavy.
Body is medium; carbonation average.
Overall this is a fairly simple hoppy IPA - pine and spruce hops, with just a little malt for balance. jbruner (5121) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - SEP 8, 2017
Pours a clear golden brown on tap with fluffy off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of resinous piney hops and big caramel boozy sweetness. Taste follows, big on bitterness, big on hops, booze is mild, smooth. Solid double IPA. TomTron (455) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 29, 2017
The eskimos drink this when they need to warm up when there isn’t any more blubber for them to use. BeerdedDave (1853) - Beckley, USA - AUG 28, 2017
beautiful, clear, amber-red color; resiny pine hop aroma; lots of resiny, piney hops in the flavor with some herbal notes; medium bodied, bready malt base with light caramel notes; just a bit boozy

Aroma is pine, fruit and big sweetness. The flavor is fruit/berries, piney hops, malts and a sweet/spicy/alcoholic finish. fidelis83 (2496) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - AUG 3, 2017
Clear copper pour with a two finger, off white head. Aroma of bitter pine, dankness, orange slice candy, caramel and bread, a hint of biscuits and planty hops. Flavor is caramel, wood, bread, toffee, lots of booze, light dankness, licorice, dried leaves, light berry notes and sweet and bitter citrus. Medium body, medium, sharp carbonation, oddly strong boozy heat for 8.5% and off dry finish. This is a weird one, it’s a tiny bit of a mess. sawbuck (755) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - AUG 1, 2017
Very fresh sample. Nice aroma of sweet bread, caramel, and some booze. Pine in there as well. Beautiful orange amber with a huge tan head. Sweet caramel up front. Quickly laced with deep pine resin with medium bitterness. Nice balance on this beer. Medium mouth feel with a pine laced bitter finish and a touch of warming from Alcohol. Nice an boozy in a good way. Solid. thorongil2 (3341) - , Ontario, CANADA - JUL 31, 2017
(Tap) clear, very bright orange brown colour with a small tan head; aroma of dankness, pepper, hint of jam; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish jmohno (1649) - Iowa, USA - JUL 28, 2017
Clear amber/copper. Nice lace and light creamy head. Nice aroma, not strong but significant. Not neccessarly hoppy either. Its minty with fresh maltyness and crisp air. TAste is kinda good mixed with mediocre. Pronounced bitter. Drinks well for a double, yet its drinkable/sipable and cleanish. something about this gives it marks down for a double. Good to average. I love Alaska, I worked in the Dutch Harbor cannary around 1999. Beautiful.
