I live in Alaska and I always used to drink Alaskan Icy Bay IPA until this Husky IPA came out. Icy bay is really good but just a bit too hoppy for me, and this one is just right. I checked Alaskan Brewing Co.'s website and Icy Bay is 65 International Bitterness Units(IBUs) and Husky is 50 IBUs. And if that doesn't convert you: Icy Bay is 6.2% ABV and Husky 7.0%. Quite apart from that, Husky tastes good like a micro-brew should, and the 7.0% ABV makes it a great pain reliever, in case of emergency! 😉 MrTipple (6424) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 29, 2017
Intense, dank, overripe tropical fruits, mango, passion fruit. Hazy gold, small, creamy, off-white head. Heavy bitter. Bitter tropical fruits, mango peel, passion fruit, bitter orange, orange peel, grass, soft carbonation, full bodied. Quite harsh in palate. Keg at GABF17, Denver. tmoreau (4631) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - OCT 19, 2017
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., dispensed to a shaker showing a hazed gold color, with a fair layer of soft white froth, and curtainy cling to the lacing. The nose was a mellow presentation of a nice range of esters as orange & ruby grapefruit, pit fruit, berries, slight tropical scent, and some sweetness. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste was similar, with some malty creaminess, a bit of tartness & tanginess, and moderate citrus & rind-like bitterness with a touch of resin. Somewhat reserved, but Pale Ale smooth. fidelis83 (2508) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - OCT 15, 2017
Hazy gold pour with a one finger, creamy white head. Aroma is sour citrus, toast, soap, perfume, passion fruit and a hint of honey. Flavor is tart citrus and citrus peel, pale caramel, oily grain, a hint of allium-like savoriness, a little grass and a little dank. Medium body, light, but very blanketing and pretty sharp carbonation. Good, but has alot of the things I don't like about mosaic.

Shorter bottle. Pour is somewhat viscous. Mildly volatile aroma. Hops are medicinal and bold, almost astringent. Yes, like a husky gonna bite yah. Stares you right in the white glowing eyes. Roto ruder IPA experience, but that could be a goody thing for you if you like IPA. Big sweed husky norhtern climate inhabitad here. Not as thick as expected but quite as nasty. Hey, I think I'm getting a little dizzy; forget my numbers, if you like mosaic IPA, gotto gittit.

Aroma is Mosaic hops, citrus, floral/fruit and slightly nutty. The flavor is Mosaic hops, citrus/fruit, malts, grapefruit and a tart/creeping bitter spicy finish. jbruner (5274) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - SEP 8, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 12, 2017 Pours a clear gold on tap with fluffy white that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of big resinous new world hops, nice citrus and fruity notes. Taste follows, but with a good malt balance. This is the new jam. Voodoo (702) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 7, 2017
Pours a near clear bright golden with a medium white head which lingers a bit.....aroma of melon, cantaloupe, tangerine, citrus......taste is tropical fruits, honeydew, orange peel, finishing quite clean for a 7% IPA. Actually rather crisp, clean and refreshing for a beer of its type. Ibrew2or3 (8814) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - AUG 27, 2017
12oz bottle pours with a clear deep gold body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up a pleasing onion dankness with thin cantaloupe and funky papaya in the background. The taste delivers a similar pleasing degree of bitter spicy onion dankness with supportive thin layers of juicy tropical fruity hoppiness creating a nice balance. This is working real well here. Hitting the spot. jake65 (4000) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - AUG 19, 2017
Bottle. Pours a golden color with a large frothy white head. Tons of thick and sticky lacing. The aroma is sweet and sticky with hop nectar… tropical fruit and a little pine. Tastes sweet up front with a fairly assertive bitterness. A little earthy and some bready malt. Lingering bitter finish. Just a little hint of the 7% abv in the end.
