Bottle. Beautiful gold with thick head which leaves an artistic inch of lace around the glass. That is the aroma I associate with IPAs. Strong citrus. Not overpowering, just perfect for the style. Powerful but restrained hop taste. Lots of delicious citrus taste. I love hops and for brewers it is easy to keep adding them but there is something enticing about hitting a clear note. ronaldtheriot (1952) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - MAY 15, 2013
Alaskan IPA has a thin, white head and a semi-clear, golden appearance, with some streaming bubbles and minimal lacing. The aroma is of grapefruit and sweet, white bread. Taste is the same, with maybe some pith and pine oil. Bitterness is strong, but not overwhelmingly so. Mouthfeel is medium and oily, and Alaskan IPA finishes fairly dry, refreshing, and quite drinkable. Overall, this is considerably nice, and I score it as being most excellent. Floral aroma. Nice fruity hops on the flavor. Best IPA I’ve had in a while! ads135 (4727) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - DEC 4, 2011
Clear golden pour. Fizzing head bubbles the resin and floral aroma into your face. The crisp, clean finish compliments its dry citrus taste. Tried in Juneau on tap at the waterfront. (3/23/2011) At 4 IGERT workshop. 6ROW (473) - corpus christi, Texas, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Copper to orange pour with a berry small off white head. Piney hops aroma and taste. I will drink this when ever available

Bottle. Pours a very clear dark golden color with a moderate white head on it. Nose is fairly hoppy, with some great floral and piney notes to it. Taste is actually really well balanced, with some slight bitterness to it, and a hint of sweetness up front. Very nice IPA... SourDough (1) - Mount Dora, Florida, USA - MAY 20, 2007 does not count
UPDATED: MAY 23, 2007 My oh my, this is good stuff, and mighty tasty! I tried to figure out the taste for an hour before finding this site! It does definitely have that grapefruit and pine taste and caramel smell to it; and --- it’s gosh darn good! poisoneddwarf (2569) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - AUG 2, 2009
12 oz bottle. As far as IPAs go, this is very standard. There’s nothing special about this, nothing experimental, bold, or risky; it’s just an excellent example of the style. Very basic but very good. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 17, 2010

This IPA has a nice honey color with a minimal head. The beer is a nice hoppiness to it , not to strong and not to light. This beer is lightly sweet with a nice amount of spice.
