Bottle: Dark brown with a thin tan head. Fruity and sweet aroma. Malty and chocolate with a vanilla element. Tastes malty and roasty with the fruity notes and vanilla real easing into a mellow barrel aged taste. Even a bit of toasted marshmellow... A delicious dessert beer. Thanks Matt! 12/1/08 From 22oz bottle. Aroma is roasty and creamy, semi-sweet, and low on alcohol and fruit. Appearance is very dark brown with a well maintained light tan head. Flavor is much of the same, unsweetened cream followed by a fruity roast bittering and almost tart, but not acrid finish. Mouthfeel is lightly warm, medium-full bodied with a low carb feel. Overall, a complex brew that is fairly easy drinking for the style but lacks some of the higher fruit and alcohol notes I’d expect of the style. Bomber poured a clear deep dark brown with ruby highlights and a lasting tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, plum, toffee, pepper, cherry and light vanilla. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of dark chocolate, cherry, vanilla, cola, pepper and light toffee with a smooth lightly dry lingering chocolaty finish. Appearance: Pours a clear, dark brown body with ruby-tinted edges in the light and a thin ring of khaki-colored bubbles.
Smell: A deep scent of dark malts mingled with a liqueur-like black cherry aroma and notes of vanilla, seasoned wood, unsweetened chocolate, and toffee.
Taste: Rich dark maltiness with flavors of baker’s chocolate and toffee. Hmm. It’s rather sweeter than I would have imagined from the nose. Minimal roastiness. Splash of cherry cordial stirred up with some black cherry cola. Touches of vanilla and oak. Light earthy bitterness. Finishes dry and fruity with a lingering chocolate-coated cherry taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium carbonation. Fairly smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Loaded with an almost shameful amount of flavor, this brew pleases me on several levels and is one I wholly recommend. gator2683 (199) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - JAN 19, 2009

Oh man this was tasty. This is one of those beers I am going to think back to and dream and reminisce about how tasty it was. Mega points as well for uniqueness. Creamy texture with a marshmallow and chocolate like flavor. Smooth chocolate and cocoa aroma. Pours deep black and has almost like a flat cola like texture. 22oz bottle from 5000, thanks Andre. Super dark crimson color, almost black with a tan head. Has a bourbon barrel smell to it, but I know it’s not barrel aged. Very strong rich flavor, and very smooth, this is damn good. Hints of vanilla and toffee. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - JAN 9, 2009
When I heard Alaska, I was worried. I thought this beer would suck and use horrible grammar. However, both were not true. This beer was great. Big Chocolate aroma, and big chocolate flavor. No detectable alcohol. Great beer.
