COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Alaskan Double Black IPA is a combination of beer styles, with a flavor profile most similar to an Imperial IPA and the dark black color and rich flavors usually found in heartier stouts and porters.
The Black IPA, also called "Cascadian Dark Ale" or "American-style India Black Ale," is a relative newcomer to the craft beer world. We may not know what to call it yet, but we do know its dark and its hoppy and we cant get enough of it.

Bomber from Nugget Market in West Sacramento, CA. Pours really dark brown with a foamy 2 finger tan head. Dark malt aroma with some floral hop. Full bodied with creamy/foamy carbonation. Flavor is very dark malt, theres a moderate heat burn, and there is chocolate and a mix of hops. Pretty busy ale. Finishes like a hopped stout, sort of. GFB!

This beer pours a dark brown color with a tinge of red around the edges, and a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, pine and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of roast malt, resiny hops and coffee. The finish is roasty coffee and malt up front with a lingering piney hops aftertaste.
