Bamberg Bash Day 2. Cafe Abseits tasting. Almost clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Crisp palate, light minerals. Good pumpkin fruits and nice, not overdone mellow spices. All in good balance with the mild dark malts. Finishes crisp and semi dry.
Bottle courtesy of Sledutah, thank you sir! Very dark brown color, bright beige head. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, cocoa powder. Taste big spice, some roast, but the roast is a bit drowned out by the spice. Leighton (21231) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2015
Bottle shared at the Cafe Abseits tasting during the Bamberg Excursion. Cheers to Kenny. Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. Bottle at Cafe Abseits. Tasting. Dark brown beer lasting collar. Spicy aroma. Not over spiced but too spiced for me. Not for me Oakes (17642) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 21, 2014
Medium brown, thin head. Aroma has a lot of pumpkin, spice...nutmeg, cocoa, pumpkin and cinnamon on the palate. Good brew. Nice, balanced spiced porter. brokensail (16444) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 23, 2013
On tap @ Tustin Brewing. Dark brown, almost black, pour with a tan head. Aromas of roast, light smoke, all spice, nutmeg, and quite a bit of chocolate. A touch of vanilla and...ginger? Flavor is a touch acidic. Bitter roasted malt, dark chocolate, and a light sweetness. Nutmeg, all spice, and a hint of ginger. Mild vanilla sweetness on the finish. bhensonb (15187) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 21, 2013
Bottle at California Brew fest. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is pie spices. Med body. Flavor is decent pie spice level over darkish roast malt with a touch what seems to be smoke. Good drink.
