A wonderful pumpkin porter with just enough pumpkin spice to balance the coffee warmth.

This is by far the best pumpkin beer I've had. Appearance is very good with long-lasting tan head, some lace and a dark brown clear color. Aroma is mild. Flavor is where this really works well. They've added a little smoke not over spiced and everything balances super well. Body is very good. I wouldn't necessarily know that this was a pumpkin ale if I didn't see the label or was told. Killer beer.

Pours black with a small tan head. Smells of pumpkin and hints of roast and chocolate. Taste is pumpkin, hints of roast and a touch of chocolate. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Alaskan Pilot Series: Pumpkin Porter finishes with a pumpkin punch. Davhgbrew (948) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 27, 2013
Dark brown. Malt up front with pumpki...horahh! Full body through and through. My first pumpkin porter and Alaska nailed it with this one.

Check this off the Want List. The first thing that strikes me is the aroma as soon as I open the bottle. Pumpkin, herbal, and spices that follow through into the flavor. A very easy drinking Pumpkin beer that I could continue to drink all night. Very easy on the palette. WABeerFiend (413) - - JAN 19, 2015
Best by 01.14.15.
Poured from a 12 oz into a beer can glass on 10.09.14.
A: Lots of pumpkin, brown sugar, and chocolate.
A: Fizz quickly recedes to a ring. Midnight black body with some red in the glass.
T: Pumpkin and chocolate dominate. Brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a slight woodiness are subtle.
P: Watery but it’s a porter. Nice fizzy bubbles on the tongue. Crisp.
O: The head wasn’t great. but this a fantastic pumpkin porter. mrhoppy (1288) - Santa Clara, California, USA - OCT 31, 2013
Another beer in my quest to find the best pumpkin beer. This one does not disappoint. Great rich raw earthy pumpkin aroma. Smooth and creamy. Delicious. Cocoa porter is great and works seamlessly with the pumpkin. Very mild spices if any. This beer is all about the pumpkin and porter. Killer aroma. Awesome beer! zgaier (1951) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - NOV 26, 2013
Pours black with a tan head and aroma of pumpkin, spices, and roasted malt. Nice chocolate and roasted malt flavors with present pumpkin pie, spices - nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice, leading to a pumpkin spice, roasty finish. Delicious pumpkin porter, very tasty jjgmd (2162) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - NOV 26, 2013
Bomber. Pours a dark opaque lack color with a small head. Nose is fabulous with pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and chocolate. Taste is pure pumpkin with the autumn spices and sweet chocolate. Finishes on the same tasting notes. A delicious porter for the season. Quaff Score 9 / 10
