Alaskan Raspberry Wheat is an American-style Wheat Ale that highlights the bright flavors and inviting aroma of more than 3,000 pounds of real raspberries added during fermentation. Years of local demand through Alaskans Rough Draft program of draft-only releases and a Silver medal from the 2008 Great American Beer Festival make Alaskan Raspberry Wheat the perfect brew to launch the Alaskan Pilot Series.

Quite a bit of fruit in the aroma but tons of wheat as well. The flavor is just way too wheaty for me, drowning out even the raspberries, which dont have a lot of astringency, surprisingly. Almost hurts my stomach.

This is a real fruit beer. Tastes like they added real fruit. The wheat aspect is dominated by the fruit. I really like the flavor but I am going to add a German Weisse to it to give it a fuller body and flavor. After I added the German Weisse..... wow! Granted the raspberry is a bit muted now than at the start but it is still there. Color is really nice now. I give it a 4.4 after the addition.

nice coppery pour with a red tinge - lots of head - aroma of raspberries and not much else - dry with lots of raspberry in the flavor profile followed by a slight souring - I think that the extra alcohol actually helps this one as it would normally be too fruity but its almost like a sweet lambique

22 ounce bottle. Pours a cool reddish-copper with a very nice three inch, foamy, pinkish-white head that grows and then lasts. Taste is of tart raspberries, wheat, malt and some hops. Similar aroma. Has a nice body that is on the creamy side and has a touch of bitterness in the finish. Very pleasant to drink, honest flavor and is worth having again.

Pours hazy orange with white head from bottle. Aroma has notes of big raspberry, toffee, some spice, biscuit, more sweet jammy raspberries in there as well. Taste is overwhelming raspberry, starting with some lemon and tart raspberry, moving into some biscuit, sweet raspberry, finishing slightly sweet. Lots of raspberries in there, but too much of the jammy, sweet berries in there. Overall good.

Pours with a plumish hue and a lingering head. I can smell the raspberry on the nose pretty good. Medium nectar with good carbonation. A delicious brew with a distinct raspbeerical disposition. Not sweet at all with a nicely bittered finish.

bottle-wow, im very impressed with this beer! pours dark cherry red with a small fizzy white head. nose of raspberries, tartness, and lite wood with some sugary notes as well. smells more like real raspberries than most beers of this type. flavors of tart raspberries, wood, and some very dry notes on the finish-slightly plastic/band aid on the finish but becomes very dry long into the beer. a very cool beer from a very cool brewery. Im very impressed!

Hazy ruby amber, frothy beige head. Aroma of tart raspberries, caramel. Taste is not overly sweet, still hefty sweet raspberry taste along with some breadiness. Not bad, but I dont see myself paying 9 dollars for another bottle of this.
