COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Alaskan Raspberry Wheat is an American-style Wheat Ale that highlights the bright flavors and inviting aroma of more than 3,000 pounds of real raspberries added during fermentation. Years of local demand through Alaskan’s Rough Draft program of draft-only releases and a Silver medal from the 2008 Great American Beer Festival make Alaskan Raspberry Wheat the perfect brew to launch the Alaskan Pilot Series.

Bottle at tasting, pours a cloudy orange with a red tinge and a small white head. Aroma of light raspberry, wheat and light bread. Flavour of the same, with a muted finish. Pretty standard and unspectacular - how good can you make this style?

bhensonb (15358) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 20, 2010
Bottle from Bottleworks. Pours a dirty pink grapefruit with a slight pinkish head. Smooth raspberry aroma. Better than any I can remember. Medium minus body with creamy carbonation. The raspberry is the flavor. It’s part of the beer. It provides the bitter. The bitter carries on and on. Very good fruit beer.
