COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer pours clear deep golden brown with a creamy off-white head and a wonderful holiday aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg and cloves. A lighter style than our Pumpkin Porter, this beer strives for balance in the sweetness and pumpkin flavor with a hint of hops in the background to cut through the forward spicy flavors. A vibrant clove and cinnamon finish wakes up the palate for the next sip.

Pale, Crystal, Vienna, and Alder-Smoked malts provide the grain profile for this beer, with U.S. Goldings hops. Then about five and a half pounds of pumpkin per barrel provide a creamy mouthfeel and unique flavor, and adding brown sugar, clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon to the kettle give an autumn characteristic.

12oz bottle from BrookFalls Discount. Orange pour. Aroma has light pumpkin with associated spices. Something more vegetal - squash? Taste is sweet pumpkin. A touch of tomato. Better than nose. Medium bodied. Blend is decent. Little alcohol. Finishes sweetly vegetal. Decent for style. 13.4

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Ann Arbor Eisenhower, 3/20/16. Clear amber with fine floating particles, thin fizzy white head, fair retention. Aroma of squashy pumpkin and a bit of spice. The taste is pumpkin, vanilla, toasted malts, spice. Medium bodied, mild lingering spice.

Color of um...dark pumpkin. Aroma of earth, clove and pumpkin. A bit contrived, but a decent take on the style.

12oz bottle courtesy of Zizzybalubba (thanks buddy). Orange hue, good clarity with almost fully diminishing head. Absolutely no lacing. Strong but pleasant aroma of canned pumpkin and nutmeg. Pumpkin spice taste up front (cinnamon & nutmeg) with more of an orange citrus finish. However as the beer warms it is more of the pumpkin spice all the way through. First taste is crisp on the palate with a slick mouth feel.

bottled, orange in color with thin foam, a nice pumpkin beer had over Thanksgiving, good pumpkin pie spice flavors , light on the clove, clean finish

Guerde (1297) - Leuven, BELGIUM - DEC 28, 2015
(bottle) Had this once before, but decided to buy a 12’er since it was priced @ $5.99. Pours a hazy orange color with a quickly dissipating white head that rings around the glass. Aroma starts out with a bunch of clove up in here that’s accompanied by baked apple, slight baked pumpkin, and cinnamon. Not really getting much in the way of nutmeg, although I swear there’s a ginger spike here. Bit of brown sugar as well. Flavor holds suit with baked pumpkin, kicking clove, and cinnamon towards the back. Mouthfeel is a bit on the lighter side, and carb is a touch too high. Overall this is a solid pumpkin ale.

Turboninja (819) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 15, 2015
[email protected] Saucer, Fort Worth, USA. Medium slightly sweet aroma of pumpkin and cinnamon. Copper color with minimal white head and clear liquid. Medium unbalanced taste of pumpkin, and Chrismasy spices. Medium/narrow taste spectrum and medium aftertaste. Light/medium body with medium carbonation. Decent.

Pours reddish copper with nutmeg and spice on the nose; crisp pumpkin pie palate on the tongue with a spicy finish.

sawbuck (755) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - DEC 9, 2015
Faint aroma of cinnamon, and pumpkin pie. Orange amber color with a thin head. Sweet up front. Candy corn, cinnamon, spices. Bitterness follows lightly at first, but intensifies with an echo of cinnamon. Thin mouth feel. Not bad.
