Draught at Seattle Tap Room (Sea-Tac Airport)
Hazy amber color with creamy head. Interesting aroma: creamy and nutty, impression of hazelnut ice cream. Good body structure; malt and caramel flavor with mild toffee and nuts feeling; strong bitterness, although the final is rather boring.
Interesting beer.

Citrusy pale ale, nice effervescence, slight smokiness, easy to put down at 5.7%.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at Town Hall Lanes. Clear golden yellow pour with a nice clingy white head. Nose is mild rye, mild caramel malt, and mild floral hops. Crisp palate but not bitter at all. Subdued, subtle, drinkable, and tasty. Very solid.

On tap at Bailey’s Taproom. Pours a deep dark amber color with a small white head. A nice mellow spicy and earthy nose. The flavor has some aggressive hopping with light pine and spiciness from rye and the hops, light chocolate malt perhaps. Finishes sweet and earthy. Nice.

Draft at sb. Pours a clear rubied pale amber. Loose white head and thin lace. Light orange notes on the nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty caramel and light peppery rye on the mid palate with a mild sweet orange finish.

Clear amber color with ivory head. Spicy rye bread, dank hop aromas. Medium body, chewy mouthfeel. Spicy pale rye bread flavors with some dank, earthy hoppage--tasty rye ale.

Tap. Pours a clear dark gold body with a nice frothy tight bubbled beige head. The nose is an awesome mix of light spicy rye and tropical hops, very juicy and fresh smelling. The flavor is pretty well balanced between the rye and fruity hop notes. The calypso and mosaic hops really shine in this one. Finishes with some herbal and green leafy hoppiness and a slight spicy note. Lighter bodied and crisp with fizzy prickly carbonation and a lingering tropical finish. Really nice rye pale ale. Fresh and bright.

Tap at Republic. Hazy appearance. Surprisingly strong hops in the aroma. Sweetness in the flavor balanced by rye and tons of hops, something about this reminds me of Two Hearted. Full of flavor really, and loads of hopes. One of the most flavorful APAs I have ever had. Good.

Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - DEC 26, 2013
Pours a clear slightly light amber kinda bronze color and leaves the same color body with a slim half finger white foamy head, just a little amount of light lacing sticks to the sides of the glass; the aroma is slightly hoppy and spicy up front, an underscore of fruitiness and as it warms, I get the coconut (no blueberry though the description from Alaskan Brewing Co says they put it in), no worries, still a very good aroma; the flavoring is slightly peppery, spicy rye follows the bitterness, fruitiness is slightly there but stays subdued throughout, spicy aftertaste, slightly dry finish; the palate - hmmm.... well, its about a light to medium in body and pretty sessionable, carbonation is good for the style (APA) as the sharpness is there for an APA, but not overdoing by any means; overall, good APA that I would definitely come back to, though I’m not sure why Alaskan says there is blueberry in it, no where in the entire beer I got any blueberry in the taste or the smell, no worries, I’d still have this again

3.3
SHIG (4964) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Draft: Poured an orange amber with white lacing head. Aroma is spice and bubblegum. Taste was smooth malts, light hops and a spice rye finish.
