COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The dark, robust body and pronounced smoky flavor of this limited edition beer make it an adventuresome taste experience. Alaskan Smoked Porter is produced in limited "vintages" each year and, unlike most beers, may be aged in the bottle, much like fine wine.

Bomber courtesy of RoNo. Pours very dark brown with a rather small frothy brownish beige head that leaves lots of trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly sweet, tiny fruity and smokey witch roasted malts, charred wood, light peat, banana bread, sweet dark bread, prunes, raisins, burnt cereal, sweet liquorice candy, moss and hints of incense. Taste is tiny sweet and bitter with roasted malts, smoke, burnt cereal, charred wood, smoke, sweet liquorice candy, caraway, sweet dark bread, coffee hard candy, unripe banana and hints of resinous wood, grapefruit rinds and pine. Mouthfeel is round, soft, tiny astringent, tiny watery and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with roasted malts, sweet liquorice candy, smoke, charred wood, pumpernickel bread, light peat, coffee hard candy and hints of burnt cereal. A great balanced perfectly smokey beer.

Dark brown at the middle with a dark ruby tint supporting a light brown head. The aroma and flavor is all sweet smoke with hints of black licorice and caramel.

Shared 65cl bottle, 2013 vintage. Pours dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is dominated by smoke, tar, a bit roasted, touch of dark fruits. Taste is light to medium sweet and bitter, smoke, dark fruits, finishes roasty with hints of coffee. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily and smooth. Good, but not very complex. I expected more.

2008 vintage. Dark opaque colour, with a medium brown head that holds for a while. Good lace. Aroma is smoky but not so overwhelmin as in other smoked beers, coffee, dark fruits, caramel. Palate is creamy, with medium body (I expected it a bit more dense), normal carbonation. Taste is smoky caramel, dark fruits, coffee, chocolate. Good.

A standout in the category! It is reminescient of Stones, but amped up in the flavor department. This is great beer. 22oz bottle
