On tap at Big Texas Beer Fest. Red pour with an off-white head. The aroma and flavor have quite a bit of toffee and red ale malt as well as some grass and earth notes. There is also a hint of sweetness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. ilovedarkbeer (2748) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAY 13, 2014

Tap in pint glass at maple tavern. Amber color, some lacing. Little head. Aroma is sugar , malt, but subtle. Malty but ends quickly and dryly. The finish could be better. Sugary throughout but missing some depth. Bitterness is there with some tang. Not bad for a red. Not great for a beer.

Shaker at Pinthouse- served a solid amber/ sunfaded maroon color. Thin white head with an aroma of hops and some light lemon. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt isn’t overly sweet, light hop wave in the middle, finish is only slightly bittering. It was ok, nothing to shove someone down a flight of stairs though. dfinney23 (3424) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 16, 2014
