Formerly known As Alaskan Belgian Wit

Brewed with coriander, bitter orange peel and malted wheat, Alaskan White Ale has a light and crisp body pleasant tartness followed by slightly spicy aftertaste. The malted wheat gives the beer a more full and lightly malty mouthfeel. There is an aroma and flavor of wheat and coriander, with a dry and refreshingly carbonated finish.

Btl pours cloudy pale yellow with minute particles floating around aimlessly. Big thick white head that lingers, leaving nice lacing on glass. Aroma of coriander, oranges and grass. Tastes mildly sweet with wheat and oranges. Its fruity with some spiciness at the end. Medium body, smooth texture and lively carbonation with a tart, dry finish. Pretty good, tasty white that has a crisp refreshing flavor, pleasant aromas and nice balance. Next time I will be drinking this on a hot summer day instead of a cold fall day.

From a bottle poured into a shaker. Medium bodied wheatey wit. Lacks sweetness or depth of flavor. Average wit.

12/20/17. 12oz bottle at my folks’ house. Lightly hazed golden orange pour under a small khaki head. Light citrus aroma, a hint of spice. Light citrus flavor, a hint of spice, soft wheat. Tasty enough.

Average wit of orange with a good amount of corriander spice, finishes smooth. Nothing special here but drinkable.

12oz Flasche. Gelbes Bier, flüchtiger Schaum. Etwas Korriander und Getreide. Im Geschmack auch die Kräuter, Korriander, Hefe. Langweiliges, recht industrielles Wit.

Nice creamy texture and overall flavors balanced. Just a very solid beer. Nothing over the top and off putting.

This stuff is fine. It's a bit heavy on the coriander so it has that Fruity Pebbles taste to it but it's just a bit more than is ideal, nothing that ruins it. Otherwise, this is a pretty well brewed example of the style. I find the bitterness very slightly harsh but, again, this is just a bit more than is ideal not a real complaint. It's got a fairly creamy texture and pleasantly vigorous carbonation. This doesn't quite nail the target it's aiming for but is close enough to be really good.

Bottle. Well behaved from the start except for the bog head. Lots of sparkling going on here. Mild taste with a slight metallic hint. Fairly clean, no real bitterness. Not bad. It's GONE!

12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazed yellow with small white head. Aroma is lightly spiced wheat and a touch of lemon zest. Flavor is slightly sweet wheat with a touch of coriander. Not bad for what it is.
