COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known As Alaskan Belgian Wit

Brewed with coriander, bitter orange peel and malted wheat, Alaskan White Ale has a light and crisp body pleasant tartness followed by slightly spicy aftertaste. The malted wheat gives the beer a more full and lightly malty mouthfeel. There is an aroma and flavor of wheat and coriander, with a dry and refreshingly carbonated finish.

Golden in color with a white head that settles off fast. Light bodied with slight citrus tones and hints of banana and spice. My nose stuffy, so I can tell much of the aromas, but it seems like a decent white.

This weeks edition of how have I not rated this. Draft 10 oz pour at Yard House. Pours a hazy golden orange with a thin fizz head. Some floral aroma, hinted spice, slight Belgian feel. Flavor is gentle and sessionable. Soft wheat and spices. Gentle orange. Cool and smooth drinking beer. A nice longevity beer for football Sunday. I like it.

Shared with wim at his home. Hazy blond colored beer with no head and no carbonation. Herby yeasty aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is herby bitter dry.

Bottle. Thought I had rated this. Glad I checked. It pours a clear golden color with a small off white head. The aroma has some rather strong orange peel and some coriander spice. Maybe some darker Munich type malts that hide any wheat character. The flavor is ok. Kinda like a slightly better, fuller bodied version of Blue Moon. Mostly orange, little coriander, light toasted malt. Pretty sweet and flabby in the finish, but not a bad drinker. Overall, pretty meh even for the style. At least its not over spiced.

12-ounce bottles in a pint glass. A bit stronger on the spices than some other white ales, in a nice way. Only problem is it does hide some of the wheat flavor. Otherwise, a very flavorful beer.
