Again heavy stuff from Alcazar: Bottle: Pitch black with a bubbly fast disappearing head. Sweet vinous, roas, liquirice, coffee. Soft mouthfeel - though body is very thin. Sweet , sugary/vinous. Tasty for a 6% porter!

Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 4, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, dark brown with an orange glow and a small, beige head. Some smokiness in the nose. Rather full-bodied with sweetish, roasted malt and a whiff of peaty smoke and some coffee accents. The bitterness is discreet. Pleasant. 030807

Sofajoern (146) - DENMARK - APR 26, 2007
Lovely looking deep reddish brown, almost black brew with a nice bit of tan head. Huge aroma of chocolate, vanilla roasted malts. Flavour is quite sweet, with coffee notes more to the front than in the aroma - very nice roasted aftertaste and quite pleasant palate.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 4, 2007
It’s an almost black porter with a nice creamy, moderate head. The aroma has notes of coffee and chocolate. The flavour has light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and a little hint of sourness. It’s light but nice and smooth porter. 1698

Bottle, 6.0%. The aroma has a little cardboard. Almost black colour. The flavour starts off OK, but turns a little sour. Has a good roasted aftertaste, but the sourness ruins it for me.

Bottled. Clear dark brown. Strong cocoa aroma. Dryish and fairly soft with some tobacco and chocolate. Medium bodied. Diminated by intense cocoa flavour all the way through to the tarry finish. Interesting and tasty, although perhaps not very complex.
