Black in colour with liquorice and coffee aromas, this smooth porter has a complex flavour with hints of dark fruits, coffee, and spice. Very enjoyable indeed.

500ml bottle. Black beer with thick frothy dark beige head. Plenty of dark roasted malts, even a bit of toffee. Dark choc/coffee. Quite smooth in mouth, bit of sour liquorice, but a well balanced beer and the best of the bottled Alcazar beers I’ve had. Dark roasted raisins too on the flavour

Bottle, bought @ YNWA, Kolding. Pours almost black with great, red edges. Head is small ans rather bubbly - especially as the beer is poured. But it is quite sustainable. Aroma hasbuuter-scotch, caramel, chocolate and a light roastiness. Low carbonation and rather oily mouthfeel. Flavour is surprisingly powerful. Lots of woodiness, vanilla, chocolate and a lightly vinious. Very chewy and a stunning aftertaste. This feels like the 6 % version of BrewDogs 002 Paradox Grain :o) Great!

Bottled. Dark brown/amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, smoked wet wood. Flavour is roasted malts, coffee, sugar, vanilla, smoked wet wood and some slight hoppy hints. Lovely!

Bottled. Dark brown body full of rich tobaco, cigar box and chocolate aromas. A little gem of a beer from a brewery I can highly recommend.

JonMoore (2067) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2005
Bottle. Very dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma has malts, chocolate and vanilla. Sweet roasted malts, chocolate and a dry bitter finish for the taste. Medium bodied, pleasant mouthfeel. Good porter.

maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - APR 17, 2006
Bottled. A slight gusher this one. A black beer with a slight purple hue and a dissipating tan coloured head. The aroma has good coffee notes as well as burnt malts and some oily characteristics. The taste has all the same notes as the aroma but the roastiness is the overriding feature. All in all a smooth but robust porter which is a pleasure to drink.

Bottled. Deep black body, evaporating tan head, beautiful sweet coffee aroma, dry roasty feel to it. An excellent bottle.

Fine dark brown porter with a tan head and rich cocoa aroma. Nice dark roasted malt taste, sweet and smoky. First class porter.

Sofajoern (146) - DENMARK - APR 26, 2007
Lovely looking deep reddish brown, almost black brew with a nice bit of tan head. Huge aroma of chocolate, vanilla roasted malts. Flavour is quite sweet, with coffee notes more to the front than in the aroma - very nice roasted aftertaste and quite pleasant palate.
