Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 23, 2011
In short: A pleasant creamy and resinous black IPA. Effective.
How: Tap at Hill Farmstead Winter Gathering 2011
The look: Dark brown body topped by a small beige head with good retention
In long: Nose of leafy resinous hops with some roasted notes. Tastes has some crusty bread, burnt toffee, medium roastiness, creamy oily texture, leafy resinous hops with light citrusy notes. This was overall a fine dark hoppy beer. Nobody was drinking that beer at the Winter Gathering because of all the other more sexy beers on tap. I felt sorry for the beer so I bought a glass so that it wouldn’t feel rejected. But that’s the type of person I am, when I cut carrots I force myself to cry so that the carrots don’t think I have more feelings for onions.
