Pours a beautiful cloudy golden with a dense pillow of white atop (4.25). Aroma is a remarkable balance of sweet malt and juicy hops, no bitterness or overly strong smells, mouth watering (4.5). Flavors are a different animal, with a mighty blast of hop dominating the sip from start to finish. Never harsh, and never too bitter, but always present. You can sense the malt in its backdrop just letting the Hops shine (4.75). Finishes ridiculously clean, not too dry, and just asking for another sip (4.75). Overall just fantastic stuff for my tastes (4.5).

Splitting a pint can with Skippy at his 40th birthday. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit juice, sour orange juice. Oh nice flavor. Pine, orange peel, grapefruit peel, mixture of citrus juice. Very flavorful, very nice pine. Tasty!

Poured from a can into a glass for visual inspection, but mostly drank from the can to keep the hoppy essence intact (per the cans instructions). The aroma is a dense cavalcade of boisterous, pungent, dank hopitude with thick tropical fruitness reminiscent of Rihanna’s underwear (probably, and yes, the highest compliment). The appearance is super cloudy and hazy, beckoning you into the web of its charms like a siren from Homer. The taste is well a fricking perfectly balanced tightrope walk of resin, fruitiness, and just enough bitterness; it is IPA perfected. The first time I had this I thought it was the best IPA I’d ever had and I stand by that assertion. Good for a lazy Saturday night viewing of Adaptation on Crackle broken up by a long discursive conversation about vulnerability and self-doubt with your boooooooo boooooooo and being fed avocado toast.

Flavorful, crisp, drinkable, pretty, & aromatic. Attractive pale gold w/ a white head & good lacing. The aroma is robust w/ floral notes. The taste while containing an abundance of hops, is smooth & goes down quite easily. The hops are so tasty without any dryness. Balanced & overall delicious! Fantastic!

For me, the IPA by which all others are judged. Earthy, hoppy, not fruity - the best. Best in the can.

Have had fresh and less fresh. Archetype of a style. High points but also one note compared to my faves of the style.

Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, orange, tropical fruit and hops.

Turbid/opaque yellow/golden beer with a slight off-white head

Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, orange and tropical fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops.

This beer is intense, complex and balanced. This is especially true for its abv. Great fruity flavour with a lovely aroma. Great appearance and palate as well. Misses a bit of intensity however.

500ml can. Yellow liquid with a small white head. Nose is hoppy, fruity, grapefruit, exotic fruits, you can’t just stay there, you need to drink it, it is too inviting, can find some caramel malt as well. Taste is just as amazing as nose, once you take a sip you just can’t stop, abv isn’t even felt, you drink is like this is no tomorrow. A lovely IPA for sure.

wombat23 (1664) - Texas, USA - JUN 4, 2017
16 oz. can. Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of juicy tropical fruit, citrus, grapefruit. Taste is tropical fruit, pine, mango, grapefruit, citrus. Very bitter finish. Excellent.

Rune (13352) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 4, 2017
Poured from a can at MBCC first session. Hazy golden body, bubbly white head, spotty lacing. Fresh tropical fruits on the nose. Mid-sweet citrus flavours, lemon and orange, together with sappy peaches. Citrus peels to the ending. Soft in the mouth. Very nice, a bit heavy to drink though. (Copenhagen 12.05.2017).
