There is a lot of hype on this beer and it is very hard to get. I was lucky enough to score a four pack with a trade. It was a solid beer overall but there was something I didnt like about the aftertaste after each sip. It would dissipate quickly, however I still didnt like that short aftertaste I got. Otherwise, it lives up to its reputation.

Pours hazy golden color. Aroma is huge on hops. Taste is strong in hops with a fantastic malt base. Great balance between the strong hop flavor and strong malt. Fantastic.

Poured from a can. Hazy gold with a huge white head. Citrus aroma. Citrus taste with a little sweetness. Leaves a funny bitterness. Good, but not as good as Pliny. Best east coast beer I've had, but that's not saying much. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is hazy orange with a huge frothy white head. Aroma is of orange peel, citrus juice, caramel, and grapefruit. Flavor is bitter at first but has a sweet body and finish - pears, grapefruit, mango, orange peel, toasted dough, caramel. Alcohol is well hidden.

Can from Jay. Pours a hazy orange/gold/yellow with nice off white foam. Smells earthy and yeasty, a little tropical with a hint of lemon and carbon dioxide. Tastes a little nutty and fairly malty, has a pretty diverse hop start, but it fades to just plain bitter with a touch of alcohol at the end. Really didnt live up to the hype, though it is a solid IPA.

Finally. Orange with about a finger of tight white head. Great hop aroma, orange, pineapple, apricot, mango, grapefruit, pine, herbal, resinous. The taste really follows the nose with a light malt backbone. It starts off very sweet and fruity and the bitterness slowly catches up. I got just a slight hint of alcohol as it warmed. Overall, this is a fantastic DIPA. I dont know if it completely lived up to the hype just because the hype is so crazy, but it is about as near perfect as any D/IPA Ive had.

Pours a nice golden color with an amazing aroma of hops and floral notes. Tastes the same but mixed with Jesus tears.....yeah, its that good. I challenge someone to find a better beer.
