Hazy orange-yellow color, small head. Aromas of clover flowers, yellow grapefruit pulp and jasmine. Flavors of yellow grapefruit and clover honey.
Can from Route 7 Liquor & Deli. Pours a very hazy mango-y orangey-yellow, almost no head. Aroma is pungent dank pine and resin, sweet malts, grain, lychee/mango/pineapple nectar, intense cotton-candy sweetness on the finish. Taste is syrupy and juicy orange peel, pineapple juice, pine resin, booze. Delicious, a top DIPA, but the more than slight boozy burn on the finish keeps this from being a clear favorite for me. bakingjames (10) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - MAY 2, 2014
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2014 UPDATE TO RATING. Had two cans from same batch. Donít drink it super fresh - let it sit for at least a month. First can (within 2 weeks of release) was good (see review below). Second can? By far the best American-style beer Iíve ever had. Better than Pliny. Thatís all you need to know, I suppose. Have altered rating accordingly.
Fresh can (2nd April 2014) thanks to De Hop Duvel.
Aroma: the best thing about this beer. Less than a month since canning with hop debris littering the can, the aroma is intense and well balanced between citrus fruits and pine. One that makes you simply go "Oh. Thatís awesome."
Appearance: this is an unfiltered, unfined IPA, and I can only mark it as such. Cloudy, orange. Marked down 1 for lack of professionalism.
Taste: tastes like a fairly flawless homebrew, essentially. All of that amazing aroma is compounded on the palate. No detectable yeast character, despite the proprietary Conan yeast strain. Complex and gradually unfolding hop flavour.
Palate: mouthfeel is sensational - the dry finish combines well with the mouth-coating feel.
Overall: this is an excellent homebrew, on a large scale. Not that thatís a bad thing, but itís not the best IPA in the world. Thatís not to say you shouldnít go out of your way to acquire it - itís still worth it. robertdavis81 (1) - Ohio, USA - MAY 1, 2014 does not count
Started from the can then poured to a glass. Liked it better from the glass, fantastic beer. Wish it was easier to get! Maxbier (950) - Maryland, USA - APR 29, 2014
Heavy citrus hoppy aroma. Pours cloudy dark orange. Very juicy grapefruit flavor. More carbonated than I expected. Little pine in finish. Nice malt body. Enjoyable, thanks dlovell2 for sharing.

Given to me by a friend who went through extreme measures to get this beer to me. Cloudy peach color with with white head that quickly dissipates. Big fragrant citrus and pine aroma as soon as the can opened. Tongue is first met with very bubbly mouthfeel. Juicy citrus start. Very fresh grapefruit juice flavor. Very dry pine finish.

Heady Topper - huge hop aroma. Citrus. Hops. Hops. Hops. Hops. Hops. Hops. Low malt flavor Oly (67) - Crawfordsville, Indiana, USA - APR 29, 2014
Got this from leftyhyzer in a trade at Dark Lord Day. Tried first from the can, as suggested, and then poured into a pint glass. It was ice cold at first, which they donít recommend, and I donít either. First whiff from the can was all pine and resin. When it warmed a bit, more grapefruit came out. Taste follows through exactly on the aroma: pine and grapefruit hops, with the sweet notes coming through when it warmed. The bitterness was more pronounced than other IIPAs Iíve had, but not overpowering. The palate was a bit fizzier than I expected. Overall, very nice and worth picking up, but it didnít quite live up to the reputation for me. tommann (3713) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - APR 27, 2014
473ml can. Pours hazy gold with a small head. Aroma is banana and mango. Taste has straw to start and a bitter mango finish with some alcohol.
