Incredibly flavorful DOUBLE IPA.. On par or better than stone - enjoy by or southern tier IPA and 2xipa - worth every swig! jdjuice (502) - Kumamoto, JAPAN - JUL 4, 2014
The consummate hoppy beer. Very hop forward but not overwhelming, not dominated by citrus or piney hops, more herbal. Not too heavy or sweet like you sometimes get with an IIPA. biirusaikou (2705) - - JUL 3, 2014
Can’t believe I had a IIPA from the can, and it actually works its magic awesomely! Starts with strong heady cannabis flavors then dives into deep grapefruit hoppiness. Very high drinkability, no useless bitterness, all about a crispy bouquet of hoppy flavors. The ultimate gift for hopheads! maximet (165) - Quebec, CANADA - JUN 29, 2014
Amber orange, cloudy with a thick white foam. Citrus, citrus and citrus smell all the way, with resinous/grassy smell. Taste is very balanced, a little bitter, quite nice. The aftertaste is long and fruity. Really a great beer. WillemsUrenkel (2047) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - JUN 27, 2014
Bought in a small shop in Vermont, opened in a Hotel in Manhattan a few days later. Pale orange and unclear in the glass. Fine foamy head. Fruity and hopy on the nose. Starts fruity, honey, smooth brewwater, earthy, pleasant longlasting bitterness on a malty base. If you have ever the chance to get one, do it!

Clean hoppy aroma. Great appearance, plenty of head and lace. Flavor is hoppy mainly resin, some citrus, balanced with enough malt. Clean palate. Very drinkable.

Pours a hazy burnt umber with a light creamy head.
Deep funky hops with piney citrus notes. Aroma is in your face and a sign of the bold flavor to come.
Drinks strong and smooth with a mellow maltiness laying under the powerful hops. A mildly bitter finish lingers for a moment but is rounded out well.
Overall an outstanding IPA and it's easy to see why it's sought after. That said, the hype may be overplayed just a bit.
Slightly reminiscent of Six Point's Hi-Res which is high up on my list.

Found a few cans at a store in upstate NY after striking out during an earlier trip to Vermont. Pine, grapefruit, citrus, dark fruit, spice, and some underlying bread and caramel in the aroma. Bitter citrus flavor, with lots of orange, lemon, and grapefruit. Bittersweet, spicy, crisp finish. Certainly really good, but maybe a touch overrated. I’ve had other big IPAs that were about as good, and a lot less trouble to find. lb4lb (2632) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUN 21, 2014
UPDATED: JUL 3, 2014 In trade from bibsbrewing on BA. Thank you! Pours gorgeous glowing rich hazy bright orange. Smell is strong citrus orange grapefruit. Taste is citrusy, orange bitterness. Like candied orange peel. Kind of sweet in the finish. Too syrupy of a body and normal carbonation. Good but doesn’t differentiate itself from the field of endless double ipas for me too much really. Kind of reminds me of what I remember Maharaja tasting like. Not my favorite style lately, but glad to have tried it.
