had in a super fresh can served at The Blue Stone in Waterbury, Vt., was so into it I smuggled a case back home. beyond all hype, this is one of the best, most rewarding beers I’ve had. A hop-head’s dream, beautifully well-balanced and packed full of piney, earthy citrus goodness. pure craftsmanship.

Cette bière est un ravissement pour les pistoles gustatives. les sommes sont équilibrés. À boire le plus rapidement possible. Elle se dévalue en vieillissant comme tous les IPA.

They hype was not false. This was absolutely divine! At the crack of the can, which I drank from, the hops were on attack and when I began to drink it, the onslaught didn’t stop at any time. By far, one of if not the best I have had. Definitely happy I waited to make this beer #200! If I could get this regularly, I would be buying everything I could! Don’t fear the hype. It is all true!

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2014 Thanks to ThirstyBird for this fresh can!
Very great hoppy-grassy in the nose. The beer starts great fresh-hoppy. Slightly sweetish body, the hops are intense, fresh. Citrus-like grassy. The aftertaste is long, intense. For me much too sweet - the hops are intense and in the foreground, but the sweetness is too heavy for a great hoppy IPA!
Still a great brew, but not the best - therefore too sweet! But the fresh hop-aromatic is great! --> 13/12/12/12

16oz can compliments of neohippie. Thanks brother. Pours a lightly hazy orange color with a white head. Aroma is magnificent a bright hoppy citrus melt in your mouth with mango, orange and others. The flavor was so smooth the ibu’s very well hidden. The malt base is spot on wonderful. Very well put together. Overall I want more.

There is an extreme floral hoppiness to this beer that is just awesome, the floral also shows up in the taste but it is not overly bitter. It would be awesome to show a little more maltiness in this beer to counterbalance the hops but otherwise this is a very solid and enjoyable beer.

Hmmm. How do I explain another overly hopped, could use some more balance beer. The reason this beer is so coveted is because it is so hard to find. I think IPAs like Hopslam have more balance but given it’s easier to get a hold of, it doesn’t had the same aura. Give it a shot…definitely worth it if you can….i just find it’s undifferentiated from the plethora of IPAs on the market today.

16 oz can courtesy bytemesis. This one pours a slightly hazy, glowing orange color that is topped by a small head of eggshell colored foam that quickly recedes and leaves streaks of lace behind. Just a couple of floaties in there too. The aroma is very tropical from the hops showing notes of grapefruit, mango, orange, and stone fruit atop a toasted bread malt base. The flavor follows suit with the tropical fruit, grapefruit, and orange up front followed by a touch of pine and a hint of honey sweetness to go with the toasted bread malt. The hops are the star here as they pack a flavorful punch of and bitterness. There is a nice balance though with all the flavors without getting overly bitter. Nearly full bodied and smooth with balanced carbonation that leads to a drying finish with some residual hop bitterness in there. This is certainly a really good double IPA and well deserving of the praise, but I don’t know that it’s the best double IPA out there.

Pine and tin aroma with a stale background (probably my fault) golden hazy color(I know I’m suppose to drink it out of the can but it’s already in a glass) Dry bitter off the bat with a slightly citrus funk after taste.
