Traded a Founders KBS with Josh L to get this beer. Drank 3/4 from glass and 1/4 from can. It pours a cloudy yellow - not the most attractive of appearances, to be honest. The aroma is awesome - floral, citrus, tropical fruits. The taste is very good, but maybe I was expecting too much. It has some upfront citrus - but more on orange/tangerine than grapefruit - and quickly goes to hops, where a subtle bitterness (maybe smooth is a better word) presents itself and just lingers for a while. There is no hoppy bite - just a long finish. Overall - this is good stuff, if somewhat short of (maybe unrealistic) high expectations. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Intense fruity aroma, mango, peach etc, some oil. Full mouthfeel, strong bitterness which passes quickly. Perfect old style IIPA.

Hazy yellow body with a large white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrusy, caramel, grapefruit, pine, a bit of mango. Taste is sweet and heavy bitter. Soft carbonation, medium body, bitter finish. Very tasty.

In a world full of fantastic IPA’s, this offering from the obsessive brewers at The Alchemist stands out above most. Gorgeous, hazy golden color (should be drunk from can, though). The mouth feel is second to none - soft, with a delicate effervescence. The hops are fresher than anything I’ve ever tasted. Delicious beer; a must for IPA enthusiasts. Note: Notoriously difficult to find - distributed primarily locally around the brewery in the Green Mountain state. I understand there is a mail order service available, though.

08-02-18 and 10-02-18 // cans shared. Purchased at Mikkeller Webshop. Compared drinking both times with part in a glass and parts straight from the can. Can gives a more hop oily feeling and and more aggressiv hop flavour and bitterness while the glass provides just a perfectly balance DIPA. I loved it both ways. --- Hazy orange. Small head. Fruity hoppy nose. Aroma of loads of grassy, hay hops with citrus and fruit notes. Hop oily, slightly hop creamy mouthfeel. Strong bitterness which stays in the mouth for a long time. Such a great IPA. Definitely stands up to the hype and I could drink it every day. Smoother than the 8%.

Zdecydowanie lepsze niż focal. Aromat lekko cytrusowy, cut białych owoców i cebula. Dość jasne, zamglone. Zaskakuje wysokie wysycenie, konkret goryczka, zero karmelu, alkoholu nie czuć wcale. Ogólnie fajna IPA, ale zdecydowanie piłem lepsze i tańsze ;)

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2018 1 pint can purchased from Mikkeller’s online shop. Great looking can. Tropical smell as soon as the cam opens. Drunk from can as per the instructions but sneaked a little into a glass. Bright gold colour but less hazy than I thought it would be. Taste wise you get tropical flavours with lots of hops! Great beer

Can, 50 cl. I was lucky to get hold on a 4-pack of Heady Topper and a 4-pack of Focal Banger on Mikkellers webshop - it was sold out in 2 min.! I drink it directly from the can, which is instructed on the can. I still pour a little amount in a glass to se the colour and head. Pours a modest hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is strong with notes of grass, pine and citrus. You can taste the high alcohol content (8%), its sweet with a medium bitterness. The aftertaste is more bitter with a taste of citrus. It's a strong beer, but it still a certain freshness. The mouthfeel is slightly oily. A really good double IPA, it's really heavy and strong, so you don't want more than one to drink! I might have expected some more from this beer, since it's so hyped, but it is a great beer anyway!

A gift from a friend in Denmark (he sent me two beers from the Alchemist and a home brew) that never the less cost me 44 £'s to the Norwegian customs and state .Bad criminal person who brings in sinfull beers to Norway! Sorry. Pours a orange pop yellow, absolutely thick as juice. And smells like some sort of Hawaiian Smurf village. My mouth started salivating the minute my nose caught a whiff of it. The texture is simply amazing. How do they get this mouthfeel? Am I drinking pure oats? Wow... And then the tropical garden of the pacific meeting the fresh pine of a wet tempered rainforest. Heaps of juice flavours that drive this beer and makes you want to gulp it down as if there was an endless suply. But, of course, there isn't so you hold back and try and savour this but it is all over far to quickly. What an amazing treat, thank you to my friend in Denmark for this.

Solid as usual great beer, hazy, great nose, love the can, brewery was cool, a bit boozy so to have anymore than 2 not an option unless your settled in. Lol
