4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Served from 16 oz can packaged on April 1st 2014
Aroma - peach, citrus, dank resiny hops. Bit of melon and sweet fruit
Appearance - thick off white head that lingered. Hazy orange. Almost looks like a German Hefeweizen
Taste - hop forward. Mango, peach, and stone fruit. Citrusy and piney on the back end.
Mouthfeel - rounded start and crisp dry finish. Light bodied. Punchy bitterness that lingers - borders on harsh but never really gets there. Great hop character that is intense AND drinkable.
Overall - lives up to the hype. Fantastic double IPA that stands out among the rest. Dangerously drinkable and complex

Best IPA Ever. Tasting in different seasons, year after year. No way. Oconur Gluepot (688) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 5, 2017
Like many of the mythical "best beers on the planet" DIPAs, this is a powerhouse hop bomb, but the rest of the world has probably caught up to it. Grapefruit, grass, orange and some tropical fruit notes are pretty fresh and juicy. Not sure it is hitting at 120 IBUs though. The malt is sweet and a bit chewy with a classic caramel undertone. vinivini (2828) - Gomel, BELARUS - OCT 3, 2017
Can. Tiny sample from happy ocasion. Hazy orange juice colour. Small head. Aroma: gigantic hops. There are citrus and tropical fruit, grassy notes. Additional honey. Medium body. The taste is extraordinary juicy & hoppy. Big orange, tropical fruit. Some grassy and resiny notes. Medium bitterness. Perfect drinkability. Very good. 3 Months old, drank one in can one in glass, preferred in glass. Golden light hazy beer. Taste is awesome, punchy hops all over the roof of my mouth, sage-like herbalness, slightly sweet and slightly bitter, keeps balance by not being too far in either direction rather than lots of sweetness to cover lots of bitter. The hops tingle, grassy, bright, and resinous all at the same time. Huge beer, but not at all hard to drink, overwhelmingly good. OminouSC2 (844) - Mora, SWEDEN - SEP 17, 2017
Can thanks to Xebbe. Unclear orange color, small white head. Fruity aromas with orange juice, caramel, passion fruit, pineapple and peaches. Bitter and fruity taste with pine needles, grapefruit, orange juice and slight resin. Medium bitter finish.

Two 16 oz cans shared via can and pint glass. Hazy orange colored appearance with a white head. Fresh aroma of juicy hops, citrus zest, pine, tropical fruit and light grains. Similar flavor, fresh, juicy, hoppy and zesty with moderate bitterness and a light malt sweetness. Medium body with a pleasant finish. Balanced, refreshing and easy to drink, an excellent IPA/IIPA overall. walkerrater (16) - ARGENTINA - SEP 11, 2017
Pours golden with a nice white head. Aroma is piney, fruity, citrusy. Taste is hoppy, fruity and nicely bitter. The can I tasted had no date on it but it tasted a touch old to me. Baronvondongknocker (5) - New York, USA - AUG 19, 2017 does not count

Where: A gift enjoyed at a tasting event, thanks Maxbier and dlovell2 and Steve.
How: Large can.
Details: Pours an opaque orange-amber with a thin white head. The aroma is all tropical fruit and citrus leaping from the glass. Starts off with sweet citrus and tropical fruit notes, fading to a very mild bitter finish. The malt is more then enough to balance out the bitterness. It has a full mouthfeel, and is very inviting. This is a top notch IIPA, and I can see why people are trying to imitate it. Definitely lives up to the hype!!
